Been a huge fan since the beggining! Now im trying to learn this song with my band, seem to be having trouble with the guitar work, can anyone gimme some info on the way they play it? cant get it to sound right might be because they have two guitars.... not sure
First saw this band in Chicago when they supported the Stereophonics (The Metro, 2008). Really, really impressed by the talent and the quality of the songs - bought both "Beyond the Horizon" and "As Far As The Eye Can See" there and then. Every track a winner.

These guys are Welch! They are talented and much better than Silverchair....or should I say, more mature and refined in their sound! I sincerely hope they have a long and prosperous career!
@Stax63 Silverchair's first album was the first CD I ever bought back in the day. It was pretty damn good. "Suicidal Dreams" was the first song I ever learned on the guitar without using any notation. People in Planes are pretty good. The only negative against them is that the lyrics could be a little better written IMO.
@Kingeptacon, I can reply! Just learning all this You tube stuff. Silverchair were very young when they broke out and PIP are a little older. Their Lyrics may not be very deep to you. But I like their feel, the dark mood and lyrics are personal to those writing them. I have seen the chaps live opening for the Toadies, and they were tremendous. And I was sober the whole time!
These guys really remind me of Silverchair! I remember when I first saw this video I thought they meant be for a second because of the singers style and and the whole longhaired bunny teeth look. Plus if you listen closely you can tell from the way he sings that he has some kind of accent, which I always noticed with Daniel Johns.
he looks more manly in person. yea i talked to him in omaha nebraska. one of the best concertes iv seen, good anofe to follow them 500 miles to there next gig the night after.
Aw, it's been so long since I first heard this song. About a year, and it's only gotten about 8,800 views? This is an awesome song, awesome band, and MTV should've at least paid them respects by putting the song name in the title of the video!
omg they dont have the starting where's there he chirping of the birds then, "If you talk too much my head will explode, ladda da da da da da da da daaaa"
I agree, their EP including the song 'Baby Cart' was perfect, showed the transition between tetra splendour and people in planes, a perfect mix. But like you say, their ablum as people in planes does sound like a bunch of Ideas that don't really hold up. this song isnt bad though.
Love this!
