This is an absolutely brilliant song. It has a way of pulling my emotions in two opposite directions at the same time. Just the line "you'd break your neck to keep your chin up" makes me feel completely inspired and hopeful, yet utterly hopeless all at once. ive always wondered why aaron's voice sounds slightly higher and smoother on records than live. well the editing i guess can explain the smoothness but the pitch i dont get. i guess he might play some songs half a step down but idk. it might just be me..
