Inept Reviews: Paperboy (ZX Spectrum)

I used to love this game. I remember "Postman Pat 3" was an utterly shit rip-off of this where you had to deliver telephone directories.

I had a paper round back then. Used to get paid next to nothing and had to put up with letterboxes that wouldn't open, people moaning because the papers were late, the rain, some miserable old bag going on at me because she didn't want the paper any more (why didn't she go and tell the newsagent for feck's sake?!)

I loved this game. There used to be a quiz on BBC 2 back in the 80's that had this as the final round. Quite odd to be honest but it made me want this game.

Yea I think it was called 'First Class'. If I recall it also featured Track and Field and some skateboard game. That's about all I can remember of the show.

Jesus, the Speccy version looks like it had all kinds of love pumped into it, in retrospect. I used to play this back in the day and it was way better than the C64 one. That was ghastly fuckage, proper cancer-computer.

Graphics not too bad, bad colours, but lovely gameplay, I liked this one.

One the other hand paperboy 2 had great graphics andvery nice colours but the gameplay sucked.
