  • why does this railroad crossing dont have a bar that comes down

  • @mommabeardee Most grade crossing DON'T have a "bar that comes down".

  • 0:46 BAD IDEA #1

  • those locos were really working

  • Where does the train go w/all that gravel?

  • 0:45 dumbass ahhh

  • @rollercoasterfreak36 Your right, he should have gotten just clipped just to be taught a lesson!

  • Wow !! 2 locomotives with about 50 bogies of rock, it's very powerful ~~

  • seems that in all the videos including this one, they all get a little horn crazy at the last crossing on the corner, good vid

  • Wow! That IS an awesome shot! Fantastic video!

  • aww im in love with trains :D

  • Awesome vid!Great

  • Excellent filming! Enjoyed the video.

  • Idiot, at 0:47....!!!

  • Very good footage 5/5*

  • man what camera were u using? that thing has a great clarity to be able to zoom out that far

  • Well Done On The Shot Five Stars Dude.....

  • note the idiot at 0:48 stopping and then driving right in front of the train

  • Great point of view!

  • Excellent video!

    Congratulations!

  • thats sad how that white car went across the crossing just before the train was there

  • how often do they come throuh there?

  • Lately, one empty Eastbound every other day and the return loaded the other days.

  • did anyone get his registration number,he nearly ran over that bird at 1:00

    nice vid

trains in ireland are not like this

  • love that K5LA

  • Great, steady video! Thanks.

That last crossing signal activated much too early - a minute before train arrival.

The left turn into the non-signalled crossing poses a problem. An idiot driver with stereo blasting might turn in front of a train approaching from behind. (Or do they not allow a left turn there?)

  • Left turns are allowed. In fact, you might not can tell, but further up at the traffic light, there is a left turn lane also. This road parallells the tracks very closely for about 3 miles, so, if someone turns in front of the train, it's their own problem.

  • Thanks.

I meant the crossing at 2:17.

Traffic signals can prohibit left turns when the crossing signals are activated.

But uncontroled left turns can be a problem.

  • OMG, I saw this very same train the same day at ACMS!

  • Awesome the video!

  • Wow, that's one hell of a lens you've got there! Excellent video! 5*

  • at 45 seconds, did you see that idiot. Has he ever heard of

    AS A FAST TRAIN NEARED

    HE TRIED TO CROSS

    DEATH DIDN'T DRAFT HIM

    HE VOLENTERED

    BURMA SHAVE

ps-That was a public service anouncement that is at the Tennessee vally railroad museum (or however you spell it).

  • were the lights on the right side working it didnt look like they were flashing?

  • Yes, they were. It's just the angle I was shooting from.

  • Geeze, haven't the heard of Railroad Crossing Gates? Anyway, awesome video!

  • that white car almost got hit

  • Would somebody please inform the genius that went around the gate that his Darwinism has been caught red handed in the cookie jar.

I like this in your face angle.

  • One problem with that HyperActive7, there is no gate, or lights for that matter. Just crossbucks.

  • Stupid guy in the white car. great angle *****

  • i really loved this video.very very awesome.keep up the great work. added this to my favorites.

  • Cool zoom out shot! I really love those MoW 'orange blossom' hoppers. That is one weird track layout, between two roads? I have never seen anything like that up north, except street running in a few towns.

  • Good work Stagmie,

I guest there aren't many multiple track mainlines in the south on the NS, but I don't know.

I know I wasn't a big Conrail fan, but I have to admit, NS is my railroad of choice when shooting video for many years now, an I have always loved the Pittsburgh to Reading section, where there is multiple tracks and heavy action, guess am spoiled........

    Dave

  • Nice shot. Am I right in thinking this is the "old" camera?

  • The "old" video camera, yes. It has a 20x analog zoom compared to my little bitty digital cameras 5X zoom.

  • Awesome railfan video,Great job!!!! 5*

  • Dang man, you are FAST!! Thanks for the kind words as always.
