Feels like the drummer needs to lose the click track - the guitars are pushing ahead to try and up the tempo a bit but it doesn't go anywhere . . . still, a very good version of XTC's classic. Again, probably very good choice to cover this song - thumbs up from me.

I've been an XTC fan for a long time, and I'm not, and don't think I'll ever be a fan of Mandy Moore. That being said, any female singer that likes XTC enough to make a cover of one of her songs has my admiration. Surely she didn't do it because of the "huge commercial success" of the song, and her version is not bad, looks to me like he enjoys the song.Andy agreed to it because, I think, he has an open mind and doesn't consider his music sacred. I happen to think the same way.

I love Mandy Moore, she's such a mixed bag - married to Ryan Adams, amazing taste in music, Tangled is awesome, her other films might not life changing, but she's never claimed to be the best - she's took her incredibly cheesey music career and turned it around, her last albums are pretty solid and on top of that, totally hot.
