  • wow, great!

    what pencil do you use?

  • Mind if i ask what kind of pencil your using?

  • Hey Matt, Love your art, I ordered your video. I have trouble with seeing the planes of the body, whats the best way or whats the best pics to see the planes, does it take time to visualize the plane and plane shifts. need help to visualize. thanks

  • You must have the right light hitting the model, that really helps. Also think about plates of steel put on top of the human body, like a knight. The body would not look round that way. I do have a chapter in my figure DVD devoted to that subject.

    Hope this helps.

  • Thanks for the response, I have your first version of the Layered approach is the new one you have has this added chapter, or is your new dvd more updated and expanded?

  • It is longer and more expanded. The hand and foot DVD talks about the planes too.

  • Matt how important is it to understand the canon of proportions when you draw the body? Do you use any canons when doing your life drawings

  • I've been looking for instructional video of this sort for a very long time. Excellent

  • O.O

    Awesome again.

These videos have been really helpful, and looking towards purchasing the dvds off the site.

Hope to see more videos, ^^.
