  • The add-ons for the Genesis wern't really bad. They just wern't supported enough & came out too close to each other, the 32X came out about a year or 2 before the Saturn. Plus they were kinda expensive. I agree with you however, I think Move & Kinect will fail. I hate how all the companys are trying to like each other now.

  • @daniakarick I have seen some pretty decent games for the genesis add-on's, and a few cult classics. I agree that it is annoying how MS and Sony are trying to imitate the wii's controller. They are trying to take a bite out of Nintendo's market share, but they are about 2 years too late.

  • dude how do you know sony is going to make a ps4 and microsoft is gonna make a xbox 720? it's not official,it's all fake! you are talking about stuff you don't know and saying that we shouldn't buy ps move because ps4 will come out soon...how do you know that? if you don't known don't talk about stuff you don't know!

  • @onebigpepperoni I haven't had this hair in 9months. I am gettin really sick of people talking about it.

  • nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnneeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddd

  • is that a alkaline trio flag?

  • I can see where you're coming from, but is it definate that there will be a ps4? And I think it's a very valid point to say that psp was released 2 years before ps3 and they work together fine. So maybe if there is a ps4 in 2012ish, the motion controllers will work with that... Sony may have future-proofed themselves, microsoft may have too...

  • I'd say that Sony will definitely make a PS4. The PS1+2 were huge successes and the PS3 has done decently, so they have no real reason to stop. Making the PS4 compatible with the wand would be a good I idea.

  • I just hope that sony don't make a ps4 till they've reached the limits of ps3. But I suspect they'll release one just to compete with xbox sales. Which is not a good reason for its customers.

  • what do you think the future of games are?

  • 5* for AVGN reference

  • did the WAND come out already?

  • nope round autum they sed

  • Unless microsoft tells you that they are switching over to the next gen console soon you can not say that this is a lost cause. Next Gen is like the world ending, everyone says its happening and then on that day, it doesnt. You have to consider that natal could be a replacement of a soon to be released console.

  • dude its a diffrent controll system the ps3 and xbox controllers are differnt and still mw2 goes on both so its not that hard to do

  • FYI, PSN is the PlayStation Store.

Basically, this allows developers to take more risks on new projects (its far less expensive than putting them on a disc) and sell them at a very low cost and still make a profit. Wii Fit nor did the Eye Toy have this advantage because such a service wasn't being supported.

Now then, combine a standard PSeye and motion wand as a premium PS3 package and then what do u think the results will be? note: we already have standard and premium PS3s now: 120GB 250GB.

  • U make a valid point Pirate, those in which I've already considered, This is the problem we face, however: The original Eye Toy didn't fail even though it wasn't supported a lot by 3rd party, and it was an add-on. Wii Fit was certainly another add-on and it sold better than Halo, and it is STILL selling. Yet, it is more expensive. The wand/PSeye will be cheaper AND will be standard for the PS3. And because it works like the wiimote, it can easily recieve ports. Aside from that PSN, is the key

  • Wii Fit was a game. Or at least disguised as one. The Eye Toy (you mean the PS2 eye I assume) wasn't an amazing success from a gaming point of view. It did decently, but it also come out on a console that had an install base of over 100 million. The PS3 and 360 combined have a install base of about 65 million. Your other comment is true, PSN could play a major role in this.

  • You make some valid points. The only way it will be succesful is if the companys produce the games before it comes out then people by the natal because of those games.

  • True, a strong launch could help it a whole lot, but I just think MS (and sony too most likely) will abandon the technology and just add in something similar to the next gen consoles.

  • Just like Wii Fit being disguised as a game, the Eye Toy was, also. It came bundled with a game to help it sell and, later, more followed. It sold 10 million peripherals, and like I said, that was just an add-on. Because of these sales, (like Wii Fit) ii started being supported in other games and by other developers but not near as much.

Now the PSeye and motion wand for the PS3 will come bundled with the console. so there is a significant difference here compared to before.

  • Ten million is about 10% of the PS2's userbase. About 10% of the PS3's user base is only a little over 3 million sold. Of course that is not a fail that is comparable to some of the others in the past, but it's not a revolution either. We'll see. Like I said, I hope it does well, but I don't think it will.

  • I don't think u are quite understanding me on this. the Eye Toy was an add-on to the PS2. The motion controller will be a standard controller for the PS3 console. There is no add-on. It is like the Dual Shock controller for the PlayStation platform. The Eye and the wand will become standard in, I believe, a premium PS3 package along side the Dual Shock.

You probably don't remember this but the Dual Shock didn't originally have analog sticks and rumble. continue.....

  • a premium controller was releast for the platform, but it wasn't bundled nor standard. It went standard AFTER it caught on. Now it is a standard. and people can't really picture the console or controllers without them.

  • They Should Have Sony Wand and Natal an optional controller. And Maybe Sony Will Suppourt The PS3 a little past 2014's

  • If any PS3 fanboys that said the Wii's motion control failed and buys the wand and says it rocks. I'm going to lose the little respect I have for fanboys

  • There is no reason to respect fanboys.

  • fuck the natal and the wand

  • PS3 WAND RULES!!!!!!!!

  • 360's project natal is going to be better than ps3's fucking wand because xbox 360's porject natal you dont have to hold anything in your hand so its beating wii and ps3

  • this guy doesnt know shit

  • im sure the next generation of consoles wont come out until maybe 2015

  • i do own a ps3 and i am very biased towards the ps3. but saying that the NATAL seems to be much worse than the ps3 wand. mainly because much less games can be played using the NATAL, i think the both will succeed but the wand will be better.

  • I agree. PS3 is still better...FTW!! HAHAHA lmao =] ps4 woot woot

  • @llYodreall Yeahh! Me n Drea workin for sony in 5 years watch out lol

  • HAVE YOU THOUGHT ABOUT NO compatibility with the ps3 or 360's controller, do you think they would spend millions developing something for games that you can just play with you regular controller

  • people will respect your videos more if you called them "Why I think Natal and Sony Wand might fail"

  • What are your thoughts on the Nintendo power glove? Personally I believe it destroys both Natal and the Sony Wand.

  • The only thing that's a fail is this video. You didn't bring any facts at all. Just what you guess will happen.

  • Well it's a prediction so it's supposed to be what I guess is going to happen. Also there are plenty of facts based on what I know happened in the past. Like how almost all add-on's have failed before.

  • My opinion is quite similar to you but I didn't listen all what you said and the main problem of natal is I think is that there is no gaming sensation anymore in hands.

  • Ya, I have always liked holding the controller to play games. I think most people play games to forget about problems in real life, I don't want games to be too real. And it is fine that you didn't listen to the whole video i do the same thing all the time.

  • Exactly!Playing with nothing in hands players will be seen as idiots. And yeah video games are a way to do what we can't in the real world and also to forget problems totally agree

  • But at the start of your first video you critisized people for ASSUMING that the new add ons would be good or bad. Stating that these are only assumptions, and here you are making nothing but assumptions.

  • That's actually pretty much true now that I look back. Good catch. I guess a better way to say it would be to say that I think a lot of fanboys are talking about natal and the wand. These fanboys just automatically assume that their company will produce the only good controller and the other company will fail.

  • I remember the Dreamcast...it was really an awesome progress this was the first 128 console...but it failed...people were not ready for it so games didn't follow the console and now Sega is only doing games.

  • @Playstationgamer814 he does have a point think about not from just your perspective, i mean worldwide

  • Thank you. I try to actually think about these things, not just agree with what most people are saying.

  • 5) People will want this. There are a lot of people out there that won't pick up a controller because they are too complex. I play some games and I can't remember all of the button presses. People will want this because it won't be intimidating and it is futuristic. Microsoft is going to advertise this like crazy and I think you are not really thinking about this. They can sell it just by showing how futuristic it is and how easy it is to use.

    6) It's pronounced Nu-tall.

  • @Docwiz2 you suck at playing games then

  • 1) Project Natal will most likely be included with 360 SKUs.

    2) Microsoft isn't going to launch a new console in 2011 or 2012. It will be Christmas 2015 at the very earliest.

    3) The entire idea of Project Natal is that you can can have games that are for it only and then other games can be enhanced. So, this is a win for everyone.

    4) Most add-ons will fail, but the 360 is not going to just be an add-on as I said above. Microsoft knows this, they have a lot of smart people invoved.

  • @Docwiz2 what are you talking about natal has nothing to do with the 360 remaining as microsoft newest console 360 could still be around with natal but there could be a more powerful console with natal too. COMING IN 2012 SUMMER

  • truth is all systems and games are recycled crap mediocre same ideas they say inovative but come on last time i played something good was portal on orange box new idea awesone! let me say im no young kid acting like he knows gaming ive played everything good like shadow of the colosus inovative stop talking kid cause you dont know shit

  • Hahahah. Good Idea I'll definitely bring it to parties and get some girls to use it. lol But in all seriousness motion controls have been around for years. The wii just got it right. Though this is definitely a response to the wii's success I wont say they are exactly copying Nintendo.

  • Dude your smart, you should try combing your hair back though

  • That would make the host looks much cooler ^__^

  • Haha yeh i know right

  • can't they use da addons on da next consoles to?

  • Well hopefully they can and will. I don't know though. Sony maybe. But I think Microsoft might not. They didn't support the original xbox at all after the 360, so they probably wont support natal that much after the next xbox comes out. But I think the add on's could become the normal controllers for the next gen of consoles...we will see.

  • dude your awesome you make awesome videos so keep it up! I'm glad i subscribed to you
