  • Your sound is GREAT !!!

  • Superb!

  • ! of my all time favorites! Thank you

  • Great production. Keep it up.

  • andy summers is a genius

  • Reminds me of Walking on the moon, it has that same haunting dream like sound to it.

Adore the police, no one else sounds like them which is why a lot of bands and so-called artists piss me off.

Very few of them have a unique style any more.

  • bel lavoro

    grazie!

  • Forgot how much this song kicked ass.

  • 3 people should remain lost in the fucking sahara forever.

  • Many days later another caravan was passing and a man saw something on top of the highest dune there. And when they went up to see, they found Outka, Mimouna and Aicha; they were still there, lying the same way as when they had gone to sleep. And all three of the glasses... were full of sand. That was how they had their tea in the Sahara. -The Sheltering Sky by Paul Bowles

  • @conantat1

Yes brother no one reads any more.

Three lines out of the song are practically quotes, but still is ingenious; you can get it, or you can just dig it.

    We get it.

  • @RevDrDark - I'm not a brother and I still read voraciously. :) The world is a cesspool of Bieber & GAGa and other assorted Illuminati garbage. lol

  • @conantat1 Thanks so much for the quote. The song is a favourite of mine; your quote has deepened my enjoyment.

  • @smokycharizma - much obliged. :)

  • one of my fav of all time..

  • My favourite song from this album...I *love* tea so it's extra special for me. :)

  • this song is disturbing as all good songs are

  • grande canzone, grande video, grande gruppo!

  • this and walking on the moon were my favs. i remember having this on cassette now ive got all the police on my itty bitty sony walkman mp3

  • i think sting was inspired by being in the movie dune when he wrote this song.

  • bloody nice job on the vid........haunting beautiful song

  • The blue within blue eyes is a nod at the sci-fi book "Dune". If a visionary film maker were to redo Dune, this song would fit in. Lots of the Police songs would. The guy that did Dune using Toto: one big FAIL for musicality.

  • It's only strange if you are uneducated and ignorant

  • @whitliggett Dumb fuck

  • meraviglioso

  • i love this song

  • three people need to get lost in the Sahara

  • The Syncronicity concert was my first pay per view...I had the sting haircut...9 yrs old lol

  • @Imachowderhead Synchronicity concert was *the* best concert I ever attended. It was my 1st year of graduate school, 1983, and I went w. my cousin and 5 of his classmates from St. Louis U. High School (an all-boys' Catholic school). I was the only female in our group. Excellent music, excellent company. Doesn't get any better than that.

  • @funch357 I went to this same concert in October of 83 & as you describe excellent music, excellent company and it was also the best concert I have ever been to..I especially remember this song from the concert..

  • I enjoyed Paul Bowles' The Sheltering Sky, so I was compelled to listen to this song. I think it needed a longer ending. Other than that, this is just fantastic. I love the magic atmosphere it creates with such minimal flourishes. This is perfect earphone music.

  • My favourite group forever (L)

  • Brano sublime dei Police, molto evocativo, da ascoltare in perfetta solitudine.

  • magical music ... nothing else I can say

  • a special ...song

  • Very underrated song...production is what makes this song stand out...great sound for ear phones...

I have played this song many thousands of times....

  • @somaliCABdriver Ditto. I've sung to this song many times... Car, shower, whatever... Very underrrated and a very powerful, poignant song.

  • I luv this song

  • One of my favorite songs from that album I really love The Police I wish they would

do a reunion tour I would go for sure.

  • @opelsunshine they already did a reunion tour in 2007-2008. They didn't play this song on the tour unfortunately.

  • Excellent accompaniment, to a fantastic, classic song! How 'bout doing one for Walking On The Moon?

  • Tea In The Sahara... T I T S. Hmmm... Thumbs up for Sting!

  • @pekayish LOL!! I like it!

  • Love this song so much, I use to sit listening in front of the record player picturing this song. Most underrated band in history

  • my favorite song by The Police

  • @Ostilogoth It's Sting's favorite Police song, too.

  • This and walking in your footsteps. I love these songs. And Miss Gradenko.

  • I was a little kid in my OP shorts and striped socks cruising around the neighborhood with my WALKMAN and this song in my ears.

    Memories.

  • @RandomShellAccount lol - corduroy shorts were just....wrong, yet oh so stylish!

    Gorgeous video bobhead, many thanks!

  • hab auch erinnerungen,an ein mädchen, damals(bin baujahr 68),bei dem song...

is einfach genial, police is ausnahme...niemals erreichbar

  • This song brings back so many sweet memories. Once upon a time there was a girl who dreamed of being an egyptologist and she loved this song so much. Now she is so far away, in USA making her dream a real thing. And I listen nostalgic to this wonderful melody.

  • This is such a gorgeous song.

  • man what a nice track all time !!!! wonderful

  • back in the days when mr summoner was still an artist ....

  • Strange...listening to this song I reminded "The Little Prince"

  • a strange and enigmatic song.. nice job! cool pictures :)

  • @kiuhy8 its based on the novel ''the sheltering sky''

  • Comment removed

  • @nirvanafan0091 & @kiuhy8 The film version is excellent too. This is one of those songs where the ol' English teacher in Sting is coming out to play.

  • BELLISSIMO
