  • There is no way on earth I would accept £4,000. Not only is it a derisory sum (I've heard of a court awarding £25,000 for one bird) DEFRA/RSPB should be made to accept liability & explain how/why these birds

    were kept in such appalling conditions. How bumble was allowed to progress to such an extent under supposed "veterinary supervision?
