  • Thanks for that information. I think, music from old times very often uses bordun-sound.

How is "bagpipe" called in Slovenian? "Gajde"?

  • i hope i'was right on this,. bagpipes are officialy translated as "dude" but in dialectal variants diffrent words are used for example "meh" or on borde with croatia also "mih",.. once i also red about it and it says there were multiple other names in diffrent regions for it

  • Hvala lepa ;-)

  • Interesting sound of the bagpipe at beginning, how is this type of bagpipe called orignally?

I think, it´s a bit similar to the Istrian "Mih", but it have a bordun-sound, so it´s an own version - and so I´m interested in the name of it :-)

  • i can't help u with that no accurate info, but i think it is a reconstruction of bagpipes used in bela krajina(white carniola) which is unrelated to resia but still in past bagpipes were used in resia just noone knows what kind, so this kinda fits exactly because of that bordun-sound which resian music still imitates when played on fiddle and chello...

  • @tamburaspieler they're called "dude"
