I'm a huge Stones fan and I was so happy when the Black Crowes came along and sounded and performed so much like the Stones from the 70's.  They even play a lot of Stones songs in concert. Love the Black Crowes.

yeah, these backup singers are definately "different".  They sound good and yeah they look hot, but the singers they have now are so cool. Charity White and Mona Lisa Young have been with them since 2005 and they sound great . Mona Lisa Young has worked with many greats over the years incliding Billy Preston and Bob Dylan as far back as 1980. I'll take Mona and Charity.

I actually think BYS (this era) is one of their most underrated albums.Chris is also fully exploring Millinery which is a well known side effect of cocaine abuse and being a tremendously successful rock singer in a top band.Nice to have a choir on board as well as ive posted comments before that they really add to their live performances and you can get a real groove and interraction going.

Still a phenomenal band to this day

The Black Crowes aren't in good standing with members of the Faces and the Rolling Stones for one reason - the Rock that same groove WAY better; sorry it's true, and Keith and Rod know it. I'd pit Southern Harmony & Musical Companion against Exile on Main Street any day! Such a great band - it is a shame that time will steal them from us.
