Everyone who has a video says F430, F1. But I have no idea why people specify the car as F1, when there are no traditional 6 speed manuals on this car, or any other transmission. In fact, I don't know of any Ferrari's in their current line-up that do have a six speed manual transmission. Except for most of the American supercars, most of the supercars made today, and the companies that have produced them, have all transitioned to an F1 gearbox, in some form or another, at least in the U.S.
No, Ferrari offers a six-speed manual for the F430. I've posted a video of a black F430 Spider with a six-speed, and there are many others. However, the large majority are built with the F1. Research a little -- if you look at some options lists of F430s, you'll see the F1 'box is a pricey (but common) option.
Thanks. One would have thought that the six speed would be the one that is optional on the 430, since every car I've seen has the F1 . The six speed is a lame duck transmission, either way. Automakers have figured out you can get even better performance with an F1 gearbox, in some form or fashion, and most of the customers don't want to deal with a clutch anymore, either. Shows definitely with the M5 and M6. BMW finally came out with 6 speeds for these cars, WAY after the fact.
I'm sure in reallife it sounds good, but on the vid, - nah, I've heard better sounding Novas

there are F430s with 6 speed manuals, they are just rare. look around and you'll find some. there are even one or two on youtube
