Best lightsaber fight in all six movies! It would've been WAY better if Maul survived somehow and lived all the way until Episode III so the Emperor could've manipulated Anakin into killing Maul. How sick would that have been?
Maul could've easily won this, a force push downwards or even just dropping qui gons corpse at him, but NOPE! he had to be a dick and in the end he had to split.
This fight scene is filmed perfectly. None of this shaky camera shit, or changing camera angles 3 or 4 times every second, like you see in many films today.
Meticulously planned choreography with light sabers all captured on long single takes. Certainly nothing that ameature actors could pull off

actually, this movie was over the course of like, 4 months and the seperatists rationed supplies so no-one would have the strength to fight back, each person was only given like, 3 slices of break a week and the water was from the rivers, and that was dirty and unpurified
Out of all the new movies...The Phantom Menace was the best...save for JarJar and the podrace xD it took too long hahaa. The fight was great and Liam was in it xD
@AsianguyMike well, he's a sith lord, he probly could have used his lightsaber to block them. obi wan and qui gon blocked droideka blasters earlier in the movie. or he might have been able to use the force and pull the blasters out of their hands. or use the force to stop the blasts like darth vader did when han solo shot at him in episode 5.
It is one of the best fight scenes in movies EVER. I mean, there are fight scenes with more actors, better techniques, better effects etc., but I don't know if any other fight in any other movie keeps this much high level of tension and drama through whole scene.
the best scene in this movie. the rest was very lacklustre. episodes 2 and 3 picked it up but this was a disappointment to those who had waited 16 for another star wars. nonetheless, this scene kicks ass

You don't get it. Obi-wan didn't kill Maul-- PALPATINE did. Maul had served his purpose, so Palpatine disposed of him.
He needed a new Sith Apprentice, Count Dooku, whom the Separatist-world would follow.
And when Dooku had served his purpose, he followed Maul in ending up beside himself.
