This game was a gift for me on Christmas but didn't work on my pc. I was impressed by the graphics in this video and was very excited to play the actual game. It needs better support for older computers and older versions of windows. I'm hoping for an update and I'll buy it again. The graphics in this video are amazing and are the reason I really wanted the game in the first place. It looks like the best racing game of 2011 but it won't officially be unless this startup glitch is patched

I really want to know how the crashes are in this game. In F1 2010 they sucked. Once you hit the gravel you went from 300 to 30 in 1 second. And you couldn't drive faster than that. So annoying.

@HellPet F1 2011 is simply the best F1 simulator of all time.

It does have some arcade aspects, for instance pit road is pretty much automatic, and it doesn't allow you to do a warm-up lap at the start of the race, which is no big deal really. It does have a safety car this time around, and the race can be red flagged if the wreck is bad enough, which is awesome.

There are a plethora of mods out there as well, which one I highly recommend is the damage mod, which makes damage more sensitive.

codemasters you almost got it right, you had the camera spot on with the mclaren at 0:52 and alonso at 1:12 and kobayashi at 1:20 why have the t-cams reverted back to the central look, i hate that camera. theres a reason F1 2010 modders changed the camera angles on PC and theres also a reason why FOM use the TV graphics they do. why not just copy the graphic used when watching F1 around the world because those give the best info to the viewer or in our case, the player

Hard to beleive the change that had tounges wagging the most...in a racing game....was driving SLOW. I for one hate the SC at this point. I had a phantom SC at my first race, Aus. About 10 laps in, not a cloud in the sky, SAFETY CAR IS OUT!!! my pit crew screams. I dont ever see a reson for it and for the life of me could not catch up with the field. I either was going to fast or 2 slow or going off the track. First time in history of racing that a pace car made a driver LOSE time.
