Pathfinder is actually a remake of a Norwegian movie from '87, featuring the Sami people - the indigenous people of Scandinavia. It contained far less fighting, but it WAS nominated for an Oscar, and has two stars in the Halliwellis movie guide. The bad guys there are slavers from what is today Karelia, or the White Sea. It is the first Sami movie ever produced.
