  • "I can't tell what I saw...made me wonder was it against the law! Wasn't how high you could go...but exactly how low"!!! Now thems is some "lyrics', yall!!!

  • @DRUMTOY2002 Yep they certainly don't write lyrics like that anymore

  • Great visuals!

  • God bless ya Q! One of my favorite producers if all time. The Great QUINCY JONES. A LEGEND FOR SURE :-)

  • Excellent !

  • I want to hear stuff like this that still sounds good afte over 30 years. Songs(stuff) like this have NO expiration date!

  • @bigsbz you are right on that one this ain't never gonna expire!!!!!!!!!

  • thank you for posting!. we will all miss these two singing together, but we will still have the wonderful music they made together!. this is one of the most beautiful songs. the orchestra is on point!!. great dance music. it makes you happy. r.i.p. nick!

  • As the first female solo on this song, Valerie Simpson demonstrates what a fantastic voice she has. She more than holds her own against the great Chaka, who has the second female solo later in the song. This is one of the best songs out of the dance/disco era of the late 1970s!

  • great visuals.

  • I remember seeing Ashford and Simpson sing this live at the Paramount Theater in Oakalnd so many years ago and I remember my teenage ears and eyes were AMAZED! I was never the same after the 1st time I saw them live :) I will miss you Nick and Thank You for the wonderful and positive impression you made in my life. Ashford and Simpson forever! #Soldi and stuff like that :)

  • @robirob12000 Iam absolutely stunned I didn't know he just died!! WHat a sad day and my condolences to Valerie Simpson

  • @Zandi5 Me too, I can't shake this grief "it seems to hang on, like a shadow it follows" - I wish somebody would "loose me please please". I am going to miss him so - greatest musical poet of my lifetime.

  • THAT'S ANOTHA ONE OF THOSE BAAAADDDD MUTHAFUCKIN' SONGS!!!! :P

  • Woooooo!!!...woke up this morning, feeling good, picked my fro and all of a sudden this song popped into my head so I had to jam this one!!!

  • oh talk about good music and feeling good

  • I love the way this was put together. Hope this isn't an obsession. LOL But I love it. Those pictures flashin before me. Makes me think of all the fun we had back in the day dancin to this and skatin too.

  • Have not heard this song in years....wow.

  • A STONE SMASH BACK IN THE DAY-DO IT-DO IT!!

  • Bad jam! Love this song. You did a hell of a job on this one! Thanks!

  • AWESOMELY done video, Zandi !! Just GREAT!! Thanks! I had not heard this in years, and to hear it again with great visuals is a mighty treat!

  • Quincy Jones and Chaka Khan were never on Motown! This was issued on A&M records. Great video though. How did you make this?

  • Valerie SImpson confirmed that Michael & Patti were not on the backgrounds Luther Vandross Chaka Khan Ashford & SImpson...

  • Thank you for this fantastic peace of music. Mr. Q outdone himself and agree we a comment that Chaka Khan is the greatest female vocalist of our time

  • I love stuff like this............

  • now this old school real music

  • This is amazing so creative and fun to watch I love it

  • {:o)

  • Do it do it Chaka.............!

  • If ya'll like this go to Billy Cobham's "What Is Your Fantasy" & be amazed by a young Mikki Howard doing her very best Khan imitation!

  • Q had 2 hav juice cuz back in the day cuz Chaka was the go 2 girl 2 collab on other peoples shit! But if they weren't evil ass Warner Bros label mates it was a No-Go! Chaka was slated 2 sing Street Life,Don't Look Any Further,Jamaica Funk,What Is Your Fantasy,AddictedTo Love,& gang of other records but contractually could'nt cuz of WB's talent stilfling ass!

This musical genius has stuff still in the vaults that could have propelled her into Real super stardom that Evil Ass WB won't release!

  • @TyjaluvsChaka Ironic isn't it as the core audiences can now well afford to buy all the music CK can sing, unlike when we were younger, perhaps. The record companies are morons. They need to get out more. They'd sell more music . CK's voice has no sell by date. We would buy as much as they produced. Dummies.

  • Zandi5 You've Outdone Yourself!!! This Vid Is 1!!!

  • Brilliant tune...dont make tunes like this anymore....fantastic!

  • those were the days

  • Quincy is a genius!

  • I love this extended version of "Stuff Like That" and the jazz instrumental part is stimulating!!!!

  • Used to play this on the piano in the bandroom with the rest of the jazz band. : )

  • I just downloaded this mp3 at audiogetnow..com

  • I have this ALBUM, and it's still the shit.

  • CHAKA STEALS THE SHOW !!!!!!DYNAMIC SONG .CHAKA KILLS AT WILL ANY BEAT SHE DECIDES TO BLESS WITH HER VOICE !

  • i heard Chaka finished her part in one take.

  • This track has all the heavy hitters on it...Michael Jackson is singing backgound on it and so is Patty Austin. Along with Ashford and Simpson Quincy Jones put together a master piece for this time period in music.

  • @starrchild851 I didn't know Micheal was in the mix too and Patti Austin !!If I had known that I would have put them in the vid as well. Thanks for the info

  • @Zandi5 yes, this is where Michael jackson and Patti Austin met for the first time. Then they worked together on Michael's album "Off The wall" where Patti and Michael sang a duet called "It's The Falling In Love". quincy Jones is Patti Austin's God Father.

  • @starrchild851 TELL ME WHERE YOU HERE MIKE ON THIS PIECE PLEASE

  • @thewrightlilbro Michael Jackson is singing BACKGROUND with about 10 other people on this track....kinda hard to hear him. If you have the orignal ALBUM you can check the credits.

  • @starrchild851 Wow! Didn't know that either! I do know Q didn't care 2 much 4 most female singers but was crazy about Chaka & crowned her America's Premier Female Vocalist & later went on 2 say Her & Billy were the top 2 most influential singers of the 20th century! Chaka was heavilly influenced by Bebop & Big Band Jazz as was Q! She also was influenced by Billy, Aretha,Gladys,Carmen,Joni,Tina,Jimi,Janis,Ella,Etta,Charlie,Miles,& a slew of other greats & fused it into her own style!

  • @starrchild851 You are right Patti Austin does sing back ground vocals on this song, But Michael Jackson doesn't.. It's Luther Vandross that sings back ground vocals...And a host of others, But not Michael Jackson

  • @starrchild851 Thanks!!! I had forgotten about Michael and Patty singing on this masterpiece!!!

  • Oh oh oh, look at Them. Chaka, Nick, Val and Qunicy. They was in their "Hey DAY" as older folk say. All in their glory and youth and sexuality! This song is the isht, makes me want to skate and run around the park for popcicles. Takes me back.

  • I'm goin to get my skates. RIGHT NOW!!!!
