To the extent that people in other countries are healthier than us, it's mostly because Americans tend to overeat. It's easy to eat less when you're poor, like in Cuba.
And lastly, no, I'm not gay. I just find it amusing how so many pro-gay liberals use anti-gay epithets like it's nothing.

@calstategop (1) Global warming alerts have been there for several decades. The reason why governments are just now ringing the alarm bell and not sooner, is because they’ve found a solution that would still be profitable for business. They won’t stop polluting, they’ll just create a market for it. Some sort of trade in pollution rights and credits. Is this socialism too? You have your things upside down if that’s what you think.

Even individuals will be banned from using electricity all in the name of the global warming myth. The real reason the ice caps are melting is nature, and because of volcanic activity under the ice sheets.

@AuxoApollo I tell you what dictator is, a ruler who has near or total control over his people and the economy like Chavez, Hitler Stalin, whether or not they were elected. Most are. Chavez has abolished what little freedom they had in Venezuela. He even shut down news networks that spoke out against him and he's brainwashing poor children to worship him and become obedient slaves of government just like Hitler did in the 30s.

@AuxoApollo Welfare only benefits a tiny minority. Most of the welfare recipients are drug addicts and/or sloths. There is a trailer park just down the road where I used to live full of teenage whores who have 5 6 sometimes more bastards so they dont have to work and get free handouts. Most of these disabled poor ETC are turned away. In fact New York Times or Boston Globe dont remember which one said this but they did a poll 20 years ago and 95% of recipients said they werent searching for work.

@calstategop (1) The increase of carbon dioxide in our atmosphere is pretty conclusive. Whether it’s anthropogenic or not is still under scientific debate. I won’t elaborate on the subject for now (unless you provoke me), but this is a commonly accepted fact among scientists. You don’t need to come up with volcanic activity to dismiss global warming. In fact, it’s the melting of ice caps that may ignite (or already is igniting) more future volcanic activity, not the other way around.

Millions of people gather in these committees that can be joined by anyone, to discuss about the community’s needs and future. This idea has led to the creation of Neighbourhood Councils called CCs (‘consejos comunales’) in 2006 where families can exercise their participation in local governance.

It’s the biggest form of participatory democracy, which is pretty much the opposite of a dictatorship, known in modern times. Continuing to paint Chavez as a tyrant would reveal your lack of research into Venezuelan politics and the utter bias that runs through your opinions.

@calstategop Bush's only excuse could be ignorance, but that doesn't free him from his responsibility on more than million innocent war casualties. To compare Stalin with Chavez shows that you may suffer from ignorance too. They are in no way alike. Chavez won a democratic election in '98 with 56% while the traditional parties didn't even exceed 5%, and was re-elected in 2000 and 2006.
To blame all the problems in Venezuela's you've mentioned on Chavez is unfair to say the least.
