I'm wondering why they bothered to bring the empties all the way down to Victoria with them as I'm assuming that everything went back up to Nanaimo (and over to Vancouver?) for repairs? Wouldn't it have been more efficient to pick them up in Duncan on the way back up-island?
@pgquin The empties are from Duncan, when they headed to Victoria, they grabbed them on the way and picked up the Dayliner, then headed to the Nanaimo yard with all.
I was going to say that it's bizarre to see a freight train on a VI track but I see your description now. Good catch! Those rail employees have must have enjoyed operating something different for a change.
Cool!
why did they have to switch cars around, they could just put it at the end?

@pgquin That would be more efficient but it's more interesting for railfans if they bring the grain cars down to victoria.

The crew at the end seem surprised the track held up.

@kaizerzydeco I was thinking the same thing. Seems like he was trying to move it up and down by jumping on it..lol Kinda dangerous too.
