I get the music choice. Though it seems a it heavy for such a somber time, I think the poster is trying to get across the message that Parkersburg didn't let this event define them, and rather, they fought when it would have been easy to give up.

Great video. And yes 7 or 8 people dies and about 60 more were injured. There was debris found in other states from this tornado weeks later. Pictures, letters, and important paperwork. It was 1 to 1 1/2miles wide at times and traveles like 45 miles on the ground. I live prby almost an hour away from Parkersburg and the same tornado picked up about 1 mile outside of the town I live in. It would have flattened us as well. My heart goes out to those people. Be strong.

yes debris can travel far. A while back there was a huge storm system that came through and a tornado touched down in Iowa City. An hour away later that day debris was found---and a strange looking bird....right near where a woman died (I think)....it was an American Coot (yes that is a real bird)....and those birds live in Louisiana....so yeah debris can be kicked up pretty far in a strong storm system and not let down till many states away apparently..

yes debris can travel far. A while back there was a huge storm system that came through and a tornado touched down in Iowa City. An hour away later that day debris was found---and a strange looking bird....right near where a woman died (I think)....it was an American Coot (yes that is a real bird)....and those birds live in Louisiana....so yeah debris can be kicked up pretty far in a strong storm system and not let down till many states away apparently..

Sweet. I hadn't seen this video if the Parkersburg tornado. This has to be the best footage I've seen of it.. The shot is wide enough to see it, but close enough to see the rotation.
Whoever asked "why is the camera so shaky", watch the trees and bushes. The inflow on this thing is just amazing. What a monster. Good job on the capture!
