  • the only thing about space that is not worth discussing ,is astrology ...what a load of horse shit! -D

  • 2:46 hitler come to america with einstein i did not know that

  • I fail to understand how an ever-increasing amount of matter negates the need for a beginning. Play it in reverse, and won't the amount of matter in the Universe dwindle to nothing?

  • Why are the talking about the Steady State Theory? The Steady State theory has been proved false, and Hoyle, Bondi, and Gold (the physicists who formulated it) had to abandon the theory in 1965. Because of the continued expansion, and the universe as visible now, there still had to be a state earlier when the universe was much more dense than today, which contained more sources of matter than exist today, which contradicts the theory. (citation Hawking's "A Brief History of Time, pages 51-52).

  • "a thousnd million" toy mean a billion XD??? 1:11

  • @TheBeeFart well, that is the common phrase used in astronomy. read a science book to see its continual use... but Im sure youre much more intelligent

  • @TheBeeFart i dont live in the USA or any english country so i cant find the thosund million quote ?

  • @TheBeeFart

In the US a billion is a thousand million, in some other places a billion is a million million. I imagine the phrase "a thousand million" is used to avoid confusion.

  • @blackacidlizzard man can you just tell is stephen hawking still a live?thanks

  • I believe that there is only one relegion matchs scince. also, it tells us the truth and things haven't discovered yet. It is Islam. One evidence is Neil Armstrong fact that he he heard the Islamic pray in the moon..... search and find what the most believable and reasonable information is for your heart and mind........

  • @kariem2000 HA! Your religious indications of what you just said are all explainable or false (as in the lie about N.A)...commence religo-babble now. Dont forget to call me an infidel or ignorant. Also do not forget to say I will feel the wrath of your god. dont forget to also say allah akbar or whatever it is you claim every animal who makes a noise is saying. go ahead and reply to this: I make it a point to not reply further. Science debate with a muslim is like arguing with a 13 year old girl

  • I love this theory. It's so deep, and logical, contains great questions, and answeres...

The birth of our universe.... Amazing!!!

  • i am geting information or "facts" about how the all world and universe was created from this creep or a fat lazy woman? THATS ABSURD!

  • Science can explain everything in due time.

  • I'm so sick of you religious nut jobs throwing your insane theories around every single scientific video on you tube.

Maybe i should just stop reading the comments and hope that humanity one day will be less stupid..

  • Love this. Though I remember from Cosmos that Hubble had an assistant who helped him immensely, Humason. Odd that this documentary left him out.

  • Let me say one thing. If a huge ball of energy was 'just there' and that created the big bang... Where did that ball of energy come from? It doesn't follow the law of physics.

  • @PakitoonDeen it is yet to be explained. Enjoy the voyage

  • @PakitoonDeen The explosion of a star.

  • My religion told me : God made universe from one solid material --> smoke/nebula ----> star/galaxy creation ----> collision and separation ---> cooling process ---> earth ----> universe collaps.

  • Hoyle is such a good example of a bad scientist. I'm not sure if his story is featured in Science Ethics classes today. But it should be. His belief in a steady state Universe was irrational, in that it transcended any amount of evidence presented to the contrary. And when he lost in the scientific arena, he took to the airwaves to snag some less informed supporters. In 2001, he went to his grave believing in a steady statue Universe. Hoyle was more theologian and/or politician than scientist.

  • religion is bullshit wot the fuks that got 2 do with the universe nothinnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn just stupid fukin stories oh jesus helped the blind and they cud see agen oh yeah did he. fuk offfffffffffffffffff

  • i like the fact that christians argue about the big bang and such. when really the big bang kinda supports the idea of God in a way.

  • @quack009 god only exists in the brain. when they tell you to believe all that means is that you have to make it up in your brain to exist. same with faith, thats just reassurance of a believe (thought)

  • @MrJackclarke You could say the same about science, and you'd be right. Saying it about God though, you're wrong. The very word science comes from "knowing", which depends on a brain to do the knowing. Creation of the universe from nothing however, is not dependent on a brain, as there was no brain around at the time. In other words, God cannot be a human concept if he created the material that the brain was made of... Pearls before swine, me thinks :(

  • @CosmicDamian the creation of our universe was a reaction of an event know as the big bang and all the material substances that came from that like everything that is in the periodic table are absolutes. all life evolved, nothing was ever simply "created" from nothing, thats impossible. creationism dosent make sense compared to evolution and laws of physics when reviewed. God was created in the brain and we cant observe it physically so where is the proof of its exsistence?

  • @MrJackclarke Evolution and the laws of physics are astute, brilliant, incredibly useful observations. However, they say nothing about the cause of the big bang. The cause of the big bang was not created in the brain. I can't make it any simpler for you.

  • @CosmicDamianThe cuase of the big bang had to be a reaction of all the elements, amino acids, ect. in our universe reacting and then exploding and expanding everything.just like how life began in the ocean from the right elements brewing together, the same thing had to of happend inside of the mass of the big bang before it expanded.the idea of a creator of the big bang is just an assumption and not proven to be true.we havent figured it out yet but tests are ongoing on the higgs boson particle

  • @MrJackclarke The higgs boson particle is in theory the particle that geometrically gives mass its matter and they are recreating the big bang 100 trillionth of second after it happend to find the higgs boson particle. When they do we learn much more about our universe. it will be one of the biggest advancements in science for mankind today. The higgs boson particle is nicknamed the god particle. maybe i am wrong about what was inside the big bang before it exploded maybe it was just pure energy

  • @MrJackclarke then everything that we have today like all the elements, amino acids, ect. formed the way they did because of physical parameters like pressure, tempature, electromagnatism ect.one thing for sure. without light or stars (bundles of gases giving off photons) there would not be any exsistence of life whatsoever. what are the chances of that happening? well quantum mechanics explains that the physical actions and reactions of particles are only probablities,- life is only a probablity

  • @MrJackclarke Religion and god sets the stage for humans to take our exsistence for granted.thats the problem,it subconsiously creates the ego that we are far superior than any other species of life and were created that way and we then live a subjectfull life to try to get into heaven while raping the true meaning of life. creationism compared to biology is just wrong throwing the legitamacy of god and the bible down the drain. celebrate this chance to be alive and breathing. toss the ego!

  • biological evolution and universal evolution reveals, religion conceals.its amazing that we today as a worldwide society stillhavent abodonded what they wrote 2k years ago when there were no microscopes or highpowered telescopes for the study of physics and biology.now today we can conclude that biological creationism is very wrong. The main question is of course what created the energy mass of the big bang.well since the bible is wrong maybe the big bang is an absolute and has no explantion

  • @MrJackclarke Interesting! Celebrating the chance to be alive and breathing is what praise is. Considering that science is a wonderful method for demonstrating the laws of nature, but will never be *responsible* for those those laws coming into being, we don't thank science for our being. Rather, we thank what is responsible for it, whatever it is. That's the religious impulse, and it's not foolish, it's really only logical!

  • @CosmicDamian well then the thing giving uswhat we know as exsistence of everything would be the higgs boson particle because in theory it is was gives matter its mass.they dont call itthe god particle for nothing.but then again the bible is wrong about creationism.religion would need an entire makeover andthe word god would need tobe redefined.all ofthis isnt possible for us tobe alive without electromagnetism and photons though.quantum mechanics says much about the behavior of atomic particles

  • @MrJackclarke Interesting! Religion actually has been getting made over for thousands of years. Catholicism for instance, has abandoned the literal interpretation of the Bible a long time ago. Nevertheless, the bible is still beautiful, and inspirational. Newton's laws were superseded by Einstein's, but they didn't make Newton's insights any less wonderful and awe inspiring!

  • @CosmicDamian and you see thats what gets at me the most for not wanting to believe in the legitamacy of any religion.because it has been perverted into a form of control and a business.yes it has some good content into how to live a good honest life but, what turns me off about it is the creator part and how it is characterized,aka-"god". A lack of understanding why, how, what, when something happened can be easily explained by saying"god" did it.its a very powerfull relieving answer tho its wrong

  • @MrJackclarke "Inside the big bang"? Are you describing a place that existed before the big bang, which contained the substrate of the explosion? If this place was in existence before the big bang, then the big bang you describe did not correspond to the appearance of the material universe, it was just an ordinary explosion, like any other explosion of material already in existence, such as a nova, etc. right?

  • @CosmicDamian well in physics we know thatin terms of exsistence or something, something as in our universe exsisting there cannot be nothing, there has to be something,no exsistence of absolutley anything isnt stable ina universal exsistence manner, laws of entropy and enthrapy come into play.maybe im wrong about stuff exsisting in the big bang before it happend but this is what we cant figure out yet in science,we scientist are trying though and are on the fringe with the study of the higgs boson

  • @MrJackclarke "We scientist"? Come on man, who are you kidding. God love you :)

  • @CosmicDamian im speaking in general, im working on my physics degree at texas tech and i consider myself a scientist because im studying our physical reality through observation and testing hypotheses. as far as god loving me i dont know where god is or where he is but i do love the higgs boson particle. and celebrating my chance to be alive and breating is celebrating the probability of all the sub atomic and atomic particles acting and reacting the way they do in order for there to be life

  • @MrJackclarke Sounds like you're in the right place! It's a wonderful universe, for sure. Good luck with your studies.

  • @CosmicDamian Thank you, One thing to consider and look into is nucleosynthesis and fission and fussion. that explains how protons and electrons formed to create elements in the early universe when it was very hot. I was on the wrong track the other day saying that the big bang contained all the elements prior to the "bang" or expansion. My apologies. Understanding all the physical parameters in the universe responsible for actions and reactions of particles takes time.

  • For those not understanding how the Big Bang created something from nothing, they calculated the total energy of the universe, and it is...guess what? 0. Everything today adds up to nothing. So nothing created nothing, we have tons of matter and energy present today but it is balanced equally by negative energy throughout the universe. There is no notion that NOTHING created something, it in reality only resulted in nothing. I'd rather believe that, something found through math, than "God".

  • @Indianbrkdncer nice. the big bang happend because everything that needed to be right for it to happen, enabled it to happen, back when people came up with god they had no idea of biology and physics and lacked universal and biological evolution education. the big bang either produced or had all the elements that make up matter today. It had to of had mass in order to create more mass, just like a bomb is matter and has mass and when it explodes it still has matter and increases mass

  • @MrJackclarke scratch my comment i recant the part about the big bang. all the elements we have today were formed after the big bang through nucleosynthesis and fussion and fission. that is universal evolution down to quantum physics. quantum mechanics gets down to the phsycis of sub atomic and atomic particles which requires even more detailed explanation. the big bang happened, then while things were happening it caused other things to happen then causing something else to happen basically

  • @Indianbrkdncer Who calculated the total energy of the universe and found that it adds to 0? Could you please provide a source? This seems ludicrous on the face of it. Apart from this, 2 + 2 = 0 is not the same as nothing... There are twos, a plus, an equals sign, logic, awareness, understanding. I love math too, and its beauty shows that it is not NOTHING.

  • allah will punish you infidels. god is great!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @generalgovna You're a fool,

  • @generalgovna god as in something of exsistence somewhere that has power thatit can use and enable homosapiens to use?or"god"intermsof everything thathas exsistence knowsthat because of concsiouness, andthat all exsisting conscious beings share thesamecollective unconscious through examination of genetics inhow every livingthing shares the same amino acids thatmake up dna and that our reality isreal and consciouness is connected to reality bythe particle that gives matter its mass.the higgs boson

  • 3:22 NICE IPOD DUDE

  • @ tehbertl - Lol, that's not an ipod(though i can see why you would think that), that's the clicker that hawking's used to do most of his work and call on his nurses before he came down with pneumonia.

  • andyman8300... Everything started at one specific point and the galaxy that you are talking about is closer to that point than we are; or inside of us so it would be moving torwards us... But don't take my word for it that's just the best I could come up with.

  • i am immortal to myself cause when im dead there is nothing so i am always alive

  • can somebody tell me why the andromeda galaxy is moving towards ours, yet i always hear it stated that all of the galaxies are moving away from each other. thanks

  • That's a very excellent question; I want to know the answer too, but it probably could only be guessed at without an Astrophysicist at hand to give the explanation. Maybe we should seek one out?

  • I understand it's cuz Andromeda is bound to the Milky Way gravitationally and the two galaxies will collide and become one in the future.

  • @andyman8300 The andromeda galaxy is close enough to us that gravitational effects between the two galaxies are strong enough to overcome the expansion of space. The two galaxies are in effect, orbiting each other in a gravitational system, similar to how our solar system holds together (certainly, the sun is not getting further away).

I guess the scientists need to be more careful about using the word "all." Also, H41212EE is correct, we are on an eventual collision course with Andromeda.

  • H=8piG(density)/3 +lambda/3.... there's also a 'k' in the formula for space time curvature but it's accepted that we now live in a k=0 universe.

  • But it wasn't a blunder. In the Friedmann's equation H=8piG/3 + the cosmological constant is necessary for explaining the expansion during the big bang.

  • granted that the big bang nor a God theory is proven so how about both shuv it up their arses until one or the otherwise is proven or disproved?!?? eh?

  • I get really tired of reading religious comments for almost every video even remotely related to science. If I were watching a religious video, I wouldn't comment with equations or empirical evidence.

That said, the big bang is not a fact, only one of many competing and fascinating theories. Granted, big bang is the most widely accepted, and I personally don't find most of the others very compelling.

  • well the big bang is very near a fact you can see it through a telescope

  • First of all, as far as I know, we can't see the big bang through a telescope, but I'm no scientist. The problem is we can't see "beyond" to know the cause if there is one. We probably agree, but I was just saying the big bang theory is a scientific theory, an explanation of the data, which isn't the same as calling it "wild speculation." The regularities observed in nature are explained with scientific theories, but are not necessarily themselves "facts" or "true" in the strictest sense.

  • @utubephobe they have proven the big bang by detecting radiation in space

  • @MrJackclarke first im not religious and bleieve religion is horseshit, but big bang has not been proven.

There is evidence to support their idea.. but it is still only a theory.

  • @briantheman890 evidence evidence evidence... research it more..or research what they are doing in switzerland with the large hadron collider. they are trying to go back 100 billionth of a second after the big bang by smashing particles 99.9% of the speed of light

  • @MrJackclarke yes they are doing it, it has not been proven yet tho. when their big test has finally been completed and they have created the dark matter they believe will happen, then it will be confirmed.

just becuase they have spent decades making the LHC and they intend to do these tests.. doesnt make it true until it actually has been witnessed/created

  • @utubephobe Blame Prof. Hawking. His "God baiting" to sell books has consequences!

  • @utubephobe Thank you. Science and Faith are not incompatible. Hell look at this video itself. The man that first theorized the Big Bang was a devout Chatholic Priest.

  • maybe you could google?

  • I have seen the NASA photos taken by the probe

of the early light of the Universe no sign of a flash or bang or anything? What's more this mass likely to be hot plasma would have to travel faster than the speed of light to expand and it took over half a billion years to cool down to form the first star.

I have my own theory the Gravitational Theory

why not write your own. This big bang theory

is more about getting grants than science.

It never happened the proof is in NASAs photos.

  • my dear friend if you think that the big bang is as its name implies " A big bang!!" then you are quite mistaken the big bang was not an explosion!!! no booom occured;considering the fact that an explosion will need a medium for its shockwaves to travel through , furthermore evidence of the big bang have been found and in vast quantities:

  • 1: The red shift effect in light spectrum observed by hubble, which is a proof that the galaxies surrounding Us are moving, so if everything is moving away then back in the beginning of time everything had a start.

2: The Cosmic Background Radiation which clearly states remaining heat of 2K (Kelvin) Microwave from the big bang remember the universe at the start was incredibly hot because of the gravitational pull on itself

it then cooled off as it expanded.

  • petebax1, that's not even close to proving the Big Bang never happened. First of all, it will never be 100% proven because we didn't exist billions of years ago. We weren't there. Secondly, you aren't considering the limitations of our scientific instruments, no matter how advanced they are. The photos they have taken are at the edge of the observable Universe. The outer edges of the Universe are likely many more billions of light years away. The big bang isn't about science? Sure, buddy

  • Problems with the Big Bang Theory. One the universe is clustered and not as uniform as you would predict it to be.

Second Dark Energy fills the Universe

70%, it also effects the expansion of the Universe but not its creation.

This may even be a constant that Einstein predicted and rejected.

This so call Big Bang Theory dos not explain everything. It is only a Theory and should not be thought of as a Fact.

Energy changes into Mass and that Mass is the Universe?

  • I agree that you shouldnt think of it as fact... but half the things you listed are not "problems" with the theory. The fact that no law could predict behavior of the universe before the big bang is part of the theory... and if you learn the theory's specifics.. its makes perfect sense.. secondly... everyone who is anyone in science today acknowledges that Einstein was way off base with the idea of a universal constant (including himself).. general relativity as made by Einstein can accept BB.

  • 90% of the universe is dark matter and not 70% we are only knowable of 10% of matter.

  • you are not a scientist go fuck yourself then go study then comment on the subject

  • the bible is written in a time when man thought the Earth was flat.

    Start of discussion :b

  • @pisni It doesn't make that belief a part of biblical doctrine.

  • Circular logic. Wooo Hooo!

  • are you a physical creation apart from god like religions teach that the temple is without, or is god everything therefor everything is part of god the temple is within, the latter being what science points to and what all secret society;s and elitist;s of the world are taught and hide, are you to worship at a gods feet, or are you and everyone else equal and have always been here and alays will be here.

  • Y'hee Or vay'hee Or - boom!

Hebrew - Let there be light and light was - boom!

  • I can imagine an eternal God, existing before time , but science cannot . If they do imagine it with the same characteristics of our God they are just calling our God by a different name. Science cannot explain or exist without the support of substance but God or whatever you want to call Him can

  • Science doesnt say that there isnt any God... it doesnt even try to go there... WHY CANT RELIGIOUS PEOPLE UNDERSTAND THAT... Scientific conclusions are based of hypothesis and experiment and observation (the scientific method)... RELIGION DOES NONE OF THESE THINGS...

  • actually science DOES say there isn't a God, if we're talking about the kind of religious supernatural being with consciousness, but it doesn't contradict a deist God.

A god has to contradict the second fundamental law of thermodynamics because complexity cannot exist before nothing existed

A god cannot be omniscient and omnipotent because that breaks the uncertainty principle

A god cannot be separate from our laws of physics, or he would be separate from our existence; equal to non-existent

  • @Chewy427 God is the most superior Jewish man of all, the King of the Jews Jesus of Nazareth. His Kingdom is the Jewish Israeli kingdom in the future. Jesus of Nazareth actually created the universe, Big Crunch is the Big Bang and visa verse. The Universe was programmed to exist how ever that is the easy part creating the universe. Try governing civilisation well enough to make the technology to create the universe. 0 chance for you Non-Jewish subjects.

  • @76BlueLions

You poor misguided individual. It's a shame that the events in your life have led you to believe that. What makes it worse is that you seem to sound so certain you are right that you are ready to proliferate your unfounded believes. You will make this a worse place to live without even knowing it. What a shame.

  • Comment removed

  • I assume that those who have considered the big bang as the answer to our beginning, feel satisfied that it came from -NOTHING- -- I think not very scientific -- and all the laws of physics just came into being spontaneously.?? I think this is harder to swallow than a divine Creator. Where is the logic and the science that says from nothing can come something. Science can describe what is present but cannot answer the how or why.

  • and how can you imagine god coming from nothing, never having been creating and just existing since ever? I think it's the same thing

  • I think the "I assume" part of your statement pretty much says it all... you assume instead of seeking to educate yourself... science is not saying that something comes from nothing

  • Religious people are like concrete, all mixed up and set that way.

  • it should have never been called "the steady state theory" by any scientific notion. it should have been called the "steady state assumption". just like creationism is an assumption and in no way is linked to science. people assume that there is a before the big bang as well. the reasons for this is that these are intuitive concepts. however the universe and physics are highly counterintuitive when studied in detail.

  • The problem you have is you make an assumption like everybody should accept it as fact.. nobody should question the holy "big bang". Science and/or physics is not based on assumptions. That's religion. So religion and the "big bang" are the same thing. How about we change it to the cookie monster lived in nothingness and spat out the universe. That sounds just as plausible.

  • so you are saying that the big bang theory did not come from science and/or physics? are you saying that the big bang is an assumption instead of an explanation of observed movements of the universe? i am not sure what you are getting at.

  • assuming a "big bang" singularity breaks all the laws of physics. I would call that an assumption.

  • Please clarify and maybe in doing so you could realize you are mistaken. Get back to the books or better yet get to them in the first place.

  • The big bang singulariy doesnt break the laws of physics. In fact, models of Einstein's General Relativity account for this singularity.. hence how Hawking got the world to believe the idea in the first place...you should actually try learning before you arrive and boast about the conclusions your seeking.

  • Haha propaganda. Hawkings videos says himself the laws of relativity break down at the singularity. No physics explain the singularity much less the nothingness it supposedly came from. It's an assumption.

  • But there is a problem in the big bang itself; before the big bang and during the first seconds of the big bang our laws of phisycs dont approve anymore, just after singularity expanded; our laws of physics were established. so theoretically singularity did break the laws of physics ever heard of Unification theory??? in the primordial atom all the forces (inter and intra molecular forces) were joined as one singular force.

  • its not "breaking" the laws of physics... I dont mean to be "nit-picky" or anything, I'm just saying that the theory says that basically the conditions of the universe (its properties) were established by the results of the big bang singularity and thus cannot be used to describe conditions before it. You seem quite educated and im sure you appreciate that saying that, and then saying it's "breaking the laws" are not quite saying the same thing.

  • thank you very much i concurr with you in many things except the fact that when you try to apply for example the laws of quantum physics on a singularity dont apply anymore test it for yourself you will reach contradictions everytime you try it at first i did not believe it when i heard it but when i applied it myself i believed it!!!

  • what tonyzmglm says is true

simply put its like when we found that electrons did not work like the macro matter we see everyday. When you get down that small the things you would expect to work like matter work in waves like light, and the things we believe to work as waves, works like matter!

    technically speaking, breaking physics? no

opening our eyes to see things are always more complicated then we thought? yes!

its whats so great about science

  • yeah exactly what i meant thanks for clearing things up!!!

  • "Science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind." - Einstein

  • Im sure he used the word "lame" aswell.......

  • A LOT of the greatest scientific minds do/didbelieve in God or a kind of God. For example George Lemaitre, Max Planck, Einstein, Isaac Newton and many more, aswell as many modern day scientists. Please get your facts straight before spouting a load of misinformed garbage.

  • Einstein did not believe in god,

"I do not believe in a personal God and I have never denied this but have expressed it clearly. If something is in me which can be called religious then it is the unbounded admiration for the structure of the world so far as our science can reveal it." (Albert Einstein, 1954) and at the time Isaac Newton lived, it was inconceivable not to say you believed in god.

Please get your facts straight before spouting a load of misinformed garbage. :)

  • blantonator, The bible does not say the Earth was flat, and never has - are you able to point exactly which passage in the bible says this? And humans did evolve from a kind of 'Adam and Eve' - the entire human civilization evolved from one human male, and one human female. This has been scientifically proven.

  • your yet another dumb religious person

  • bah i know what you are talking about. but the scientific adam and eve are a group of people in east africa. we did not all come from the same human ancestors, the group of apes that slowly converted to humans finaly gained the last mutation that would place them in the human group rather than ape group. this happened in africa, and has nothing to do with the bible. it is unfortunate that they named them adam and eve as this only confuses people like you.

  • To superspliffy07: Scientifically proven? Nope! Not even close. I defy you to post a link to any credible scientific reference that states this. Your claim is baseless.

  • love the username btw.. Grativationalist =D

  • Hawkings chimed in on the universe's origin.

With logic and ardor his pronouncements rang,

But what was not revealed was whence came the stuff,

That preceded their very big bang.

Some scientists added ,"We can create life.

(their words seemed a trifle curt).

They were stirring some soil when God called out -"NIX."

"Please start with some with youor own dirt."

Big bangers need raw materials and to devise the laws that govern their actions (e.g.E=mv2 and the law of gravity)

  • nothing preceded the big bang. to precede is to be before. to be before is to require time. the big bang created time.

  • it does not break all physical laws, it requires the 2nd law of thermodynamics and the quantum law of superposition. but you are not educated enough to know what you are disputing nor the physical laws that lead to the occurance.

  • i needed 2 write a summary of this video 4 hw and i missed class the day they showd it, thnx 4 posting it on youtube and put more of them on

  • The Big Bang idea came from Belgian cosmologist Georges Lemaitre, but British Fred Hoyle was the first to use the term in a 1949 BBC radio interview. Of course American Edwin Hubble's observations lead to the confirmation of an expanding universe!

  • I'm not sure which of the "greatest minds" you speak of, but essentially no current day cosmologists/astrophysicists claims that the christian/judeo god created the universe or big bang or whatever...

The church you speak of has also known for the past few millenia that:

    the earth is flat

the earth is 6000 years old

the earth is the center of the universe

Adam and Eve were the first people and did not evolve

Science is a candle in the dark cloud of religion.

  • who ever gave this comment a negative thumb is obviously afraid of fact. question authority and religion dont take authority over truth.

  • @blantonator my theories of the universe depict a much grander universe than anything seen by hubble. an infinite one. it says that motion creates life. or rather is the cause of life, if you dont like the word creation. my theories say that within us, within each atom, is another infinite universe. and within the atoms within those... so whatever we are a tiny part of, did create us, or is the cause for our being here. call this enormous construct what you will. God is a fairytale character.

  • @blantonator "when theory and observation come together, science often takes a great leap forward" when he says that it inspires me, because i am hoping someday my theories will unite with microscope and light scanning technology to discover infinity to be a truth, and not just a series of theories with positive reinforcement.

  • @blantonator What do you really know about religion, besides what John Lennon told you that is?

  • I just have one question....Did Lardass have to pay to be in the contest?
