@JustinDaMasterMind To be honest I personally no longer play the game, nor can I currently recommend it to anyone else. The game has been stagnant for to long, the population is very very very low, the Devs are very bad at their job, the list goes on and on.

Personally if you want to burn a bit of time till GW2 or Cata I'd say try out Vindictus, which came out yesterday. It's not very WoW like as it feels a lot more like an arcade hack and slash, but it's free so hey why not right? :)

this is a clone of wow yes it´s the same engine so anyone warhammer player comment this think before u do. Well warhammer is fun i like it and wow but why I like wow more is the DETAILS on everything like the armour I mean your armour in warhammer looks like some clothe´s your mom can do besides the chosen damn they are cool. Also the fact that u dont need to pvp to get 99% of your gear in wow. But i also like the battles in wow too cuz they are alot longer.

@luxxiduxxi First off, it's not the same engine at all, war utilizes the same engine that Mythic used in DAoC. That engine is NOT the one used by Blizzard in WoW.

Secondly there is FAR more detail in WAR then WoW when it comes to graphics. Especially on the armor, the texture quality AND the poly count is much higher on WAR. The armor in WAR actually LOOKS like armor too, while WoW's looks more like a T-shirt painted to look like armor. WAR's armor has some depth to it.

@luxxiduxxi Lastly the reason you don't have to PvP to get all your gear in WoW is because WoW is a PvE game with PvP as an after thought. WAR's PvP gear is also useful in PvE, where as WoW's PvP gear is rather gimp in PvE.

Out side of the Arena geared players, people still die in seconds in WoW PvP.

@ningilaith u know something i agree with u on your last comment because u see the way WAR works imo is that if u dont like to pvp at least 85% of the time, dont even bother playing WAR........ that's all there is to it, in short wow is for all types of gamers while WAR is for serious gamers only.

1. WH yes, they have gotten some rather....odd let's say, buffs int he last little while.

As for WE no, they got gutted a while back and are rather weak now. Some people like to say they deserve to stay broken though.

2. Honestly it depends on what caused you to leave in the first place. Some stuff is MUCH better some has gotten no better or even worse.

Let me know what your issues were and I can tell ya if it has or not.

Are the servers more populated? I heard they closed more servers, population sucked on most servers. And are the classes more balanced now?

The servers are more populated but they consolidated most so we are down to about 10, but the ones that are left are decently populated.

Class balance is.....better for somethings and worse for others. Order is still a lot more powerful then Destro with nearly every class that is OP being on Orders side.

They are going to add a handicap system or something not sure. Personally if your not sure wait a bit till the new patch notes come out before resubing. Supposed to be big changes.

Max level is 40 but you can also gain ranks from PvP which go up to 80.

Honestly if you spend most of your time PvEing in WoW I would say you should stay with WoW. If ya like PvP then I enjoy WAR way way more.

for all these people talking about how wow is the best mmo and all that. i completely disagree lol. it used to be a good mmo pre-bc but once the expansions came out they ruined the game and made it more of a grind fest. you shouldnt be able to pug tier raids :P also i have played warhammer (only quit cause i got low on $) and i think the pvp is much better then in wow. and the graphics on max settings kick wows ass :D.

I hated them with a passion and the attitude they created.

I left when i saw that WotLK was going to offer NOTHING new, and it did just that.

There are two comps running in my house, both near the level of your rig. They both have the exact same parts, drivers, and most of the softwear is the same.

One lags a fair bit once you get a lot of people on screen at once, and the other almost never lags at all.

It's totaly strange, but it seems to be random. The one lags worse then my 4 year old back up rig.

I hope they can reduce the lag related problems, but the engine it's self is the problem imo.

Still best damn PvP though.

I would recomend it to anyone who likes PvP. If you liek to raid...personally I would say skip it. They have some good raids, but with a week long lock out on each one you will find your PvE time limited.

No that said it's a damn fung ame but no matter what you do, do NOT roll the class in this video.

They have been severly nerfed since I made these two videos and they are not a good representation of the current classes power level.

Honestly I would say avoid Destruction as a whole.

The class in the video was nerfed a bit ago however on the test server they are looking to be even stronger than before! Weee!

It is a lot of fun, I have several Max rank toons.

it's a nice change of pace if your sick of the WoW graphics alone. You will need a better computer obviously but nothing crazy.

I fully recomend it though :)

When i started playing wow its graphics looked good compared to other games at the time. When i play this... the graphics look like shit.

Even now i prefer wow to this, imo wow has a better look and i like the gameplay more.( and warhammer tends to have more LAG )

But i dont really play either one atm :P.

Well from a strait up graphics stand point you don't want an MMO to look better then everything on the market at the time, cuts the number of people who can play it.

That was one of AoC's, many, problems.

However if you thinkt he graphics look like shit you must be running witha default set up. I force all kinds of stuff on in the Nvidia Control panal and the game looks bloody great.

As for lag, it's totaly random. Me and my brother have the exact same rig and he lags but I don't.

One thing that alot of MMO players don't know is that one of the major problems tat can effect MMO performence is actually....your Hard Drive.

Because of how much information and data the game needs to access at any one point, a slow HD can make it lag.

I used to think this was BS but I switched and it's true.

I played WoW from beta till late july of last year and had no problems with the transition.

This footage is all almost in SC's (WoW's BG's) of 12v12 to higher.

They are adding a 6v6 SC, but if it's Arena your into I would not suggest this game.

However having played both WAR is much more tactical once you get out of BG's. Open PvP is leaps and bounds ahead of WoW.

Both good games though, this is just a much better game if you want large scale PvP.

That's the problem with WoW fanboi's, too stupid to do any research.

Animations are a lot closer to what you would use in a fight, less over the top. Doing flips and spins on your Nelf/Belf is retarded and for little kids.

The design/graphics are strait from Warhammer, which is what WoW stole from to get their look. It also does not look like an 8 bit game like WoW.

WoW's game play is a shameless and bad copy of DAoC.

WAR's PvP is actually fun, while WoW is boring and stale.

Oh ya I had fun in WoW, no debate there. My only issues is that the fun derived primaraly from the interaction with my fellow guildies, not directly fromt he game it's self.

It's just to grindy to me, WoW that is, and every time I check up on it's even more dumbed down and handholdingly simplistic.

"Better" is an opinion, and one I highly doubt is based on objectivity.

More levels means you have to grind longer to hit cap, and seeing as how most of the way from 1-60 the game is EMPTY of other people it's boring as crap.

More things to do at 80 maybe but there is a TON of content that is NEVER played as it's useless, especially while leveling.

I can do SC's( BG's for WoW) right from level 1 while you have to wait. I also have about 10x more of them to pick from.

Several hundred PQ's, Dozens of Keeps to take, 2x the classes to play.

WoW has more content TOTAL, but more than 60% of it is never used.

Fun? PvE in WoW is nothing more than memorization and it can be done by anyone with no difficulty.

PvP in WoW is a joke plain and simple it's horrendously balanced and Arena is the worst PvP system in any MMO save for AoC.

WAR looks 10x better than WoW, my movie does not show that as I turned all the stuff down to MINIMUM in that movie.

That's all at minimum settings with no AA or AF.

Also if your a wow fan and not a WAR fan why are you purposefully looking for and watching WAR videos?

nice video mate, for a hint on video editing i would say scale/zoom in a little bit using the editor. Ie 150% scale or something so the action isnt so small. Good HQ version for full screen though so doesnt realy matter just a thing to consider :) Again nice vid, hope to see more, leveling a Witch Elf myself at the mo.
