  • I think Nintendo Luigi has to change because they want Mario is more popular, look, i like the all-stars version the most. Luigi like cool there, and on the GBA version look Luigi less fun.

  • All that who likes Snes is they don't have GBA the color is faded but it was the video.

  • in original we can see luigi is like mario

    all star he is worst

  • snes luigi looks like mario

  • You probably already remembered it since this video is old but there's a change in Tubular and Awesome in the special world.

  • Is it me or is Luigi actually showing the finger at 02:04 ??

  • Snes Sound. Clear and Smooth. :)

GBA Sound. Grouchy and Scratchy -.-

  • @REALSlutHunter SNES MUSIC WAS GOOD BECAUSE IT HAD SONYS FX CHIP.

  • =]

  • @yumichan899 Luigi's appearance kept on changing in all of the versions of the game.

  • When Super Mario World was released for the Virtual Console, which version was used this time?

  • On PAL-SNES the game runs slower and has huge borders making it Inferior to NTSC-SNES but on GBA the games runs slighty faster than NTSC-SNES but has an aweful color pallete and poorly optimised sound also making it Inferior to NTSC SNES.

  • @SPS148669

"GBA the games runs slighty faster than NTSC-SNES"

Do you mean the PAL-SNES because there is no evidence that it runs slightly faster than the NTSC SNES.

You also need to mention that some of these ports have extra features like Four Sword Palace on ALTTP & playing as Luigi (not a lazy made one, with the same stats) on SMW. I don't care about the colour palette nor sound as it doesn't ruin the gameplay.

  • the color is so faded in the GBA version... :(

  • @itsmematthew They had to do that so it was visible on the screens. Remember, those screens weren't backlit back then and the colors were REALLY dark unless you were under good light so they had to do that.

  • best game in the world

  • the GBA is the worst i prefer the original

  • all those luigis look diffrent

  • I like GBA better. All the new editions made the game more fun when I played it. (and yes I own both)

  • @acerz505 Yeah I hate how people go "Teh SNES is teh best cuz its old lol"

And no I'm not boycotting the SNES I actully like the SNES But I'm just saying

  • I like GBA better. All the new editions made the game more fun when I played it. (and yes I own both)

  • You can play as Luigi in the SNES version of SMW?

  • Personally, I like the All Stars SNES Luigi better. It seems they actually put some effort for poor Luigi.

  • in the music when you finish, the original pitch are lower than the all-stars version =P

  • @Shadoweric

There are 2 different pitches in either SNES versions because they were done on different emulators (To record and produce this video).

  • @Greenalink I see, then in both games are the same pitch right? awesome video Greenalink ^^

  • I don't think the GBA has enough contrast

  • 1st:GBA

    2nd: All Stars

    3rd Original

  • I like all stars the best...

  • I say the original is the best. The All-stars and GBA has one bad thing.

In the All-stars version is badder cape balance (for me) (Luigi has badder balance)

The GBA version is a bit too easy for me.

  • SO WAT!!!!!!!???????????

  • I hate the advance versions washed out colors and the sound qaulity. I like that the all stars version isn't just a pallet change

  • well the change in luigi on all stars is not bat the levels and the color are too of the original but the gba the moves change an play with luigi is inconfortable XD

  • i think the luigi from allstars is the best

  • datz merio in weegee's clothes! imposter!!!

  • I like the "clear level" clip with luigi crossing his arms XD

  • how would i get luigi in this

and on virtual console using a gamecube controlder

  • GBA is lulfail

  • that sound on 1:31 freaked me out!

    Saludos

  • Qué? Si vas a llegar a ninguna parte en YouTube, hablar Inglés. La mayoría de la gente no entiende español. Yo, yo uso Google Translate para mi español.

  • @gtasa2004

¬¬ ok im going to speak english next time. Anyway i dont have to use a language translator to speak english but you can use spanish translator to undestand me

  • @krismagix

you don't need to speak english lol, everyone else is almost from a different country. but oh well

  • I agree. The SNES version and the SNES version (huh? Well, I mean Super Mario World and Super Mario All-Stars + Super Mario world, respectively) are much better.

  • WHy are the koopas wearing mario masks?

  • In the SNES version they must have cleared the special world. In SMA2 They must have completed every level.

  • Wrong. In SMA2, it's required to find all 96 exits.

  • the coolest luigi is the 1 on allstars because the snes (origonal) is basicly a clone of mario and on gba they over did it ☺

  • I agree.

  • the music in AS and GBA is higher

  • Great Video! Thanks for showing me the changes I can't even remember in the GBA version.

  • forgot to mention that most music in SMA2 is more legato (connected) than than the original (mainly Bowser Intro) nice though

  • Nice series of vids. You found a couple of changes between the SNES/GBA versions I hadn't even noticed before.

  • i have gba and snes (i dont like bounus game in gba version)

  • wtf is all stars i thought gaba was the same. i think i made a mistake when i boutght it.

it doesnt sem like a classic anymore due to changes. but where in the world would i get a snes

  • All Stars was a collection of old Super Mario Games from the NES. They were updated to the Super Nintendo version with updated graphics a few bug fixes & a save feature.

    Games includes:

    * SMB

    * SMB 2

    * SMB 2 J (lost levels)

    * SMB 3

There were 2 different editions. This one on the video was Super Mario All Stars + Super Mario World. The only difference is that Super Mario World was added to the collection.

You can buy a SNES from a game store or look & buy online from Amazon or Ebay.

  • @deedeedeechu or u could download the emulater and get the rom

  • is the metal pokeys in the gba version if so then could someone show it Please

  • Metal Pokeys are in the GBA version.

Watch the first part of the changes series and look at 7:08 you see Metal Pokeys.

  • i want to say that i like SMW, but i don´t like the recolored Mario as Luigi

i like more the All-Star version, is a diferent luigi

and i don´t like the GBA version because is took from the SMB2, that i hate

  • @MHZNOMISS Yea I don't like how Luigi looks like in the original game either because he looks like Mario too much. I like the All Stars and the GBA version of him way better because they gave him a weight change. They should release Super Mario World with All Stars on the Wii, but they didn't. :(

  • @SiMgUrL1721 they did it already

  • @MHZNOMISS Yes, they did it on the Super Nintendo, but the Wii version of Super Mario All-Stars didn't have Super Mario World.

  • @MHZNOMISS i didnt know that...i dont have wii T-T

  • the GBA version uses the Luigi design from SMB2 for snes (allstars)

  • I like the All-Stars version the best.

  • yeah yeah that´s the actitude

  • In the original game (which is the only SMW game I own in person), Luigi looks like Mario with a different color pallete

  • exact

  • All Stars version has 4 files instead of 3 and Luigi has given a makeover.

  • Why do you use a Blue Yoshi in certain of your demostration?

  • because that yoshi can fly

    that´s cool XD

  • I talk to the auhor of this video.

  • yeah, yeah, i only response you with that because i believed that you has laughed when you readed the commentary

  • >:S

  • the best is gba version

    5/5

  • no, snes is best. we actually get a CHALLENGE in that one.

  • But All-Stars version is a duplicate of the first pure one except Luigi looks cooler.

  • well ok but gba isnt the best im just saying it isnt very challenging

  • YEAH!

  • All-Star version is the best.

  • I think Nintendo wants people to hate Luigi because they always fuck up his jump.

Luigi rocks, but no, he's got to shake his feet like a giggling infant.

  • No, if you read the video description you'll see this

"There are 2 different pitches in either SNES versions because they were done on different emulators (To record and produce this video)."

  • There is a magical place called the sidebar. The sidebar contains important details about the video after clicking "more info". I have seen it; obviously, YOU have not.

  • no he didnt and the GBA luigi is super mario advance luigi

  • did you know all stars fire luigi spat fireballs.

  • it's kinda wierd how luigi's face turns green when you die in the original super mario world, like he's gonna hurl or something.

  • if they made luigi have green fireballs in the GBA version that would be cool

  • Gosh.. The GBA version looks lke an Atari remake..(Even though I do enjoy the music sometimes...) And the sound in SMW in SNES does not sound like that.. :O

  • if you look closely, the all-star version made luigi look taller!!

  • No shit, Sherlock.

  • lol

  • if you look closely, the GBA version is a rebuild of SMB2 luigi...all-stars+world GO!

  • go weegee

  • All-Stars was my FAVE Smash up of The Mario games. They fixed em' up good and proper!

  • Wow, All stars luigi's victory on yoshi is an evil death stare...Weegee, anyone?

  • GBA version is the best. but i do love the classics (SNES)

  • id love to see a remake of SMAS on the DS

  • Who knows? It could end up happening since they remade Kirby Superstar.

  • my fav luigi is from AS

  • DEATH JINGLE: Note the difference in key when comparing the SNES original/all-stars version vs. the GBA version.

  • It's offical. Luigi is a tough guy in the all-stars version. XD

  • how do i get luigi on smw snes

  • I think the only way to play as Luigi on the SNES is to play a two player game.

  • ok becuase i have on vurtrile console

  • two player ?

i always did two player with my brother, thats why the SNES version was so fun to play

  • when they create ports, it's the same code but the graphics are masked and other things are added. (it's emulated in a way) they don't build from the ground up with ports, as what should have been done otherwise there would have been no lags. same holds true for FFT on the PSP. Same code, same everything, just emulated on the disk itself with extras. It simply cannot handle what was not designed for it. (the console that is)

  • Sounds very interesting. It explains why Sonic the Hedgehog Genesis on the GBA was so bad because of the Source Code wasn't copied directly like Super Mario World did.

  • they rebuilt from the ground up all these games for gba since it can't emulate a SNES. changing stuff came with it since ports are never 100% exact.

  • I like all stars luigi better. the original is just like mario in green and nothing special.all stars give's him more of a luigi look (which is good). and th new isn't as good as all stars or original

    1.All Stars

    2.Original

    3.GBA

  • Why am I getting thumbs down! I didn't say anything bad! I'm just sharing my opinion!

  • I think the GBA version is the best because they give Luigi his unique abilities like jumping higher and slightly floating, his bad traction, his fireballs bounce higher and he can allow Yoshi to keep enemies in his mouth and use them as projectiles. Luigi is slower though. I think Luigi is good if you have a younger sibling because he's so easy to use. It takes skill when using Mario.

  • Is the original and all-stars version looks the same!!!

  • Technically yes but Luigi had a visual makeover.

  • in the original super mario world luigi looked like mario. but they changed that to look just like luigi

  • ur right like 8 ppl messed up your comment

  • The original is the best version

  • it's my idea or the original music are more deeper than All-stars?

  • Read the description.

  • That would take to much space on the cartridge actually..

  • unless they had a special cartridge like the twisted but it really still would be impossible

  • no offense, that was kinda weird

most of the sprites is Mario with an Green Suit

the GBA version had the Luigi sprite & suit rite tho

  • All-Stars changed the sprite for Luigi a little bit to differ him from Mario. (a.k.a.: no longer a pallete swap)

  • well i got my DS Lite tho

it look like the SNES version in color tho

  • All these because Luigi in original behaves and looks like Mario. Maybe Nintendo couldn't aford stretching.

  • The original Luigi look like Mario in Green because it was to save time in development and memory.

  • I think I prefer the all-stars one.

There were the aesthetic changes but he played the same as Mario, and I like that.

  • Luigi's my main man!

  • All Star SMW Luigi is the best one of the three.

  • what are the controls for this game? i have it on ZSNES.. the only control i know is a for picking level, but i don't know how to switch levels.. or jump. or move. lol

comments on my profile instead of replys on this video would be appreciated.

nice run! but it was a little repetitive 9/10

  • Go to input #1 and change the controls to your liking.

  • What about the VC? What does that count as? SNES or ALL STARS?

  • The VC is exactly the same as the SNES.

  • Thanks I have VC so I just had to ask.

  • This poor game has gone through so many remakes.

Can't they leave it be? Originals FTW

  • Shut up.

  • yeesh. Touchy much?

  • Arent original and all stars identical? I didnt notice any difference.

  • Focus on Luigi's Appearance.

    It's so simple.

  • ha, yeah I noticed it right after commenting. Hardly worth making a video for though is it? I liked it better when you typed down the differences.

  • Loads of people on the previous parts and glitch videos talked about Luigi and I wanted to make a 'trival' video that Luigi is different to all 3 versions. I thought it was worth making a video of it to see All Star Luigi in action. Don't worry though the traditional style will return.

  • Ok I see. I just kept looking for something else like different physics or speed. That's good to hear, keep it up.

  • Well GBA Luigi is notablly different in these areas, which are filmed on here (secretly):

    Fireball bouncing

    Yoshi's Swallow attack.

Note Capeless Luigi when he jumps length of time.

    Note Luigi's speed,

Also Luigi slides a bit more when he turns around (not filmed).

  • Sure, the GBA differences are pretty obvious. I meant I was looking at those kind of things between the all-stars and original and couldn't find any difference (except the appearance). Which version would you say is better though?

  • I'll say All Star, because Luigi has the better appearance out of all Luigis in this game even GBA Luigi, also All Star version lets you have 4 files instead of the usual 3 :).

  • Which version do you prefer overall is All stars better than the GBA Game? Of course they changes stuff here and there but was it for good or bad thats the question. Actually i was never a fan of Mario world but i would like to know your opinion.

  • All Stars is the best most challenging version because, the GBA game made it too easy as you can save any time and when you are a Cape/Fire hero getting hit changes you to a Super form not the Small form from the both SNES versions.

  • Wicked, the only differences I could tell between the Original and Allstars was the soundtrack. Nice comparison.

  • Luigi's sprites aren't recolours, notice his finish poses

  • No, not really, Read the info because there are 2 diffent emulators I used.

The latest emulator has a different pitch to the previous emulator.
