I have a 6 year old boy, who is playing Sonic DX,M Sunshine and Paper Mario & the 1000 Year Doors GC games in the Wii. He´s using 2 external memory cards (A&B), but he is pretty upset and crying: The 1000 Year Doors was erased & today the Sonic DX made an automatic copy of itself & for some reason he couldn´t access to all the emblems he won previously anymore.
The system is more for kids, and old people! I'm more of a hardcore gamer, and there aren't any games on there (yet), that are good enough. I mean ya Zelda, and Mario Galaxy were awesome, but I play the PS3 and 360 more!
so the wii has internal memory of 512 mb? Is that much? and u can only use it for Wii games? So u can put GC memory cards in the wii and you can only play gamecube games on the GC memory cards? Is that all true?
So instead of the Gamecube memory card sticking out of the side of the Wii, I made it internal! People messaged me saying that my first video was a fake, and that another Wii was in the room! Just a load of bull!
Hmmm...wondering maybe instead of putting memory card inside, maybe installing a memory card port leading outside of the case so you can exchange cards. Probably have to steal port from a gamecube.
That's what I've been thinking too. Some kind of replacement cover that plugs into all of the Gamecube controller ports and memory card slots, with a wire running out the back to a seperate box. You could then plug all your controllers, cards, and dongles into that box, instead of having all that crap hanging off of the Wii. I think I could do it if I had the parts...
@minizfreak Is there a way to add more memory for the internal Wii storage space? I got so many Wii saved games that I need to start putting them in the SD card, which I don't want to do. The only channels I have are Emulators and the homebrew, but I don't want to get rid of them. In short I'm all out of Wii space and I have 180 games in my WBFS 500GB HDD and they all have Saved Data.
hey do the gamecube memory cards work on the wii also i have super smah bros mele but i got it like 1year after it came out will it still work on the wii or do i have to buy a gamecube game that says works on wii
Yes, the Gamecube Memory Cards work with the Wii! Notice how I installed a Gamecube Memory Card into the Wii! The Wii has 2 GameCube Memory card slots on it, and 4 controller ports!
I already did it, but for some reason the Controller isn't really getting a connection really well! I think the controller I had was a bad one, because I bought it used, and it really wasn't that great! Once I get a new Wavebird, I'll try it again!
me me me show me please i need it

YOU ARE MAD!!
OPEN YOUR Wii LIKE THAT?? WHAT IF YOU DO SOMETHING WRONG AND IT BLOWS UP OR SOMETHING!!!
Just take GOOD care of your Wii
xdlugia1 2 years ago
I may be mad, but it was fun to do! As long as you know what you are doing with soldering and grounding yourself, you don't have to worry!
Though I don't have a Wii anymore! I'm not into it anymore... I prefer shooters on 360 and PS3 (i.e. Gears of War 2 & Killzone 2).

okiedokie!
but I would never du that!

is it possible to remove the memory card inside the wii and replace it with a bigger one or a harddrive?
minizfreak 4 years ago
Not that I know of right now! The Wii uses Flash Memory, so if you can find a way of replacing it, then maybe...
DavGerm4 4 years ago
it would be nice to have 2-4 gig memory on the wii instead of 512 megabytes :D
