Well said, Colonel. I saw your interview live then and I watched it again today. Sadly in 2011, the ban still stands, sloppy burials at Arlington just make a brief, passing news story yet nobody's accountable nor is there outrage, and political correctness in the repeal of DADT literally finds its way to the battlefields of Afghanistan in the form of sensitivity classes mandatory for our fighting troops. This story is news to me, and I've done a couple hundred funerals in ANC without ever hearing any type of flag fold recitation while folding the flag. I was on a casket team in the Old Guard from 1979-1983. After the firing party fired three vollies (21 salute), and Taps was played by a bugler, we folded the flag in silence. Then the Officer in charge presented the flag to the next of kin with a brief recitation, that was it. Never heard of what they're talking about in this video.

@AirBorne2418 The 1st Amendment has limits as to what a person can legally say. I am 58 years old and the United states has not fought in a war to protect my freedom of speech since I was born. All these little wars since WWII are to keep the military industrial complex  going that is bankrupting America. Bush and the national news media created the implied need to invade Iraq, when supposedly the 19 terrorist hijackers of 9/11 came from Saudi Arabia. 9/11 doesn't make sense either. WTC falls within an hour, looks like a controlled demolition. Pentagon's exterior damage shows no wing damage to the building. No plane recovered at Pentagon or in Shanksville, PA. It doesn't add up!

The folds mean NOTHING!!!!!! It was an invention by an Air Force Col. in the 1950's. It was ordered stopped due to the fact that it was in violation of the 'establishment clause'. The military DOES provide a dignified ceremony. It's the adding of this BULLSHIT that the folds supposedly represent aspects of Christian heritage. That is just complete BS. I served with Colonel Hunt at Fort Bragg and agree that this is a disgrace to the fallen and their families who have provided safety and security for the citizens of this nation. I have served as an Honor Guard at Funeral Details and it is an honor to fold that flag in memory of a fellow soldier. Like anything else with the VA or other benefits, the government just doesn't give a shit. As a veteran, I would rather them throw me in a hole in a body bag with my flag to be presented to my family

I am a veteran and proud of it. Where in the#### does the administration get off with this?? I was on one of burial details at Ft. Carson Colorado, and I remember thinking This is one of the most respectful things a country can do for one of its fallen. Col, Hunt is 100% right! I am a member of the Potter County Honor Guard here in PA. We are made up of VFW and American Legion members. Thank God we can get away with it as we are NOT federal workers!!!!!!!! We average about 32 funerals a year for our departed veterans here.
