@028Ghost ... i added the prices of stuff in the description. it doesn't include how much i paid for wires, harnesses, and other little stuff. it's all approximate
@c2J1spiller ... thanks a lot. i liked my old setup better, but that one type-R in the ported box hits harder than my 2 type-S's in the sealed boxes did.
i loved it but after a year it blow but i got the new head unit in my 2007 sonata and it so much better the bass is louder and the mids and highs are a lil clearer not much but u can tell im going to put up a before and after video after i get my new subs put in but your system looks and sounds damb good and keep it up bro
@vtecguy777 ... it sounds better than that now. i've gotten a sound processor since then, and tuned my 4-channel amp properly. i've been robbing my speakers and tweeters of power for a while now
yo i had the same headunit but it just blow for no reason but i just got a new power acustics (dont think thats spelled right lol) flip out and it sounds 10 times better so get rid of that thing bro trust me
@reverbsonata ... mine has done some weird things like not reading my flashdrive properly, but usually that's when it seems like the headunit is overheating. it doesn't sound that great until you get the imprint module for it (i didn't have it when i recorded this video). it sounds great now..
@terrencomp ... i couldn't get it to sound the way i wanted it with the stock system, so that's why i changed it all out. you may wanna check the reviews before buying a dash kit. i don't like the one that i have. gonna get a new one eventually. i don't know what the 2012 dash kits look like :-S
@vtecguy777 ... it sounds better than that now. i've gotten a sound processor since then, and tuned my 4-channel amp properly. i've been robbing my speakers and tweeters of power for a while now
@vtecguy777 ... it sounds better than that now. i've gotten a sound processor since then, and tuned my 4-channel amp properly. i've been robbing my speakers and tweeters of power for a while now
@blistex239 ... the price of those capacitors was less than the price of a battery or an alternator, and it did what i needed. i'm putting the car audio on the back burner for the moment, and i'm going to work on the exterior of the car. then work on audio again
im looking to get a 12 inch sub in my si, and my friend who is this big audio dude wants to know if there are pre amp outputs in the car? also, how many? thanks in advance.
@rvbgrifrules ... there are no preouts. i would have kept my stock radio if it did. if you get an aftermarket radio, don't get the metra dashkit like i have. it's crap. scosche makes a better looking one that i'm thinking about getting whenever i feel like spending money.
LOL two caps to run two amps that are less than 1000watt in total? i guess ppl jus put caps for looks. you are putting so much strain on your alternator.
@thaguru2 nice set up tho mane, i just finished my big three tuesday with a new alternator for my new system but the order is delayed cause of one remote that was out of stock :(
@junebxps ... if i had a hatchback i'd face it towards the back. i agree with that. i was doing a lot of experimenting with this setup, i don't have time to redo it though. it hits pretty hard when the back seats are down, not so much when they're up. the mic on my camera doesn't do much justice for the bass.
@jdmfreak4life1 ... i think it runs around 1400 for everything (headunit, amps, all the speakers, subs)... then however much the cost of wood and speaker box carpet. i did all that stuff with the help of my dad. everything was bought from the store. i'm ordering online next time around to save money :-S
on so im gunna be puting in 2 12inch subs in my new car when i get it, i am going to have the 2 subs 2mids and the 2 highs. i have a few questions too. with them 6 speakers what channal amp will i need and what do the capacitors do? thanks
@bigbobgotu ... i always recommend a mono amp for the 2 subwoofers and a 4 channel amp for the mids and highs. for the mids and highs, i'd get something with a crossover network, so you can filter out the low frequencies from the tweeters. i'm not sure if i completely understand which speakers you're planning on using. the capacitor is used to help keep the battery voltage up when a lot of current is being drawn from speakers (mainly subwoofers). it's used often when headlights dim from the subs
@bigbobgotu Havent been workin on car audio for THAT long but i think i should be able to help ya out. My honest opinion is that you need to be running 2 seperate amps. One for the Subs and if you tell me the wattage and everything i can help ya out with that and then one amp for the mids/highs so you can tune everything to its full potential. 3) Capacitors are one way to go but if you really wanna go crazy and have the best install a second battery. Preferably Kinetik
horrible tweeter placement, horrible custom box,the sub should face the trunk, and you dont need two caps for one sub. you could have saved a lot of money because the si already comes with a sub and you could have just used that connected to the amp. you got ripped off pretty bad_
@STDavid ... i did the custom box myself, so it wasn't a bad deal. the stock subwoofer was shitty, so that's why i upgraded. the amp i had would have pushed too much power to the stock sub. i just threw the second capacitor in because my headlights were still dimming with just one and my neighbor sold it to me for 20 bucks. the bass sounds a lot better facing the inside of the car to me... but everyone's entitled to their opinion...
total cost?
