@slayindemdragons yeah i only caught 2 carp in my life - once on earthworm intentionally for the heck of it and once a couple years ago when the carp hit my spinnerbait! ive seen carp taken on fly in a tv show that makes it look really fun so i'm going to try it - figure it is a good way to train myself on hook-setting and handling big fish in flyrod.
@bloodknot101, thanks for the info, I have used wooly buggers before and have caught fish with them but I didn't know what they were called,I have tied something similar to a wooly bugger before with the materials that I have, but it didn't go to well,I'll be going to bass pro shops this weekend so I can get the things i need to make a wooly bugger and some of these so I can use them in the spring when the striper get here, thanks and I'll be sure to subscribe
@slayindemdragons sure thing man - sounds like you are more advanced in fly fishing than me. i'm going after carp believe it or not in early spring with fly gear and then hoping when stripers are on the beach to get some from the surf with fly gear. thanks for sub and for watching - best wishes.
@slayindemdragons sure thing - i am not experienced at fly fishing but am trying to break into it. i think a lot of flies will be effective on bass however - when i was 18 I used to fly fish in ponds with hipboots and pretty much any fliy I cast got multiple hits - the bass fought over it. Reading some recently though I can tell you that a wooly bugger is one of many widely accepted flies for bass and other freshwater species. thanks for watching.
Yes he does. If you watch video carefully at end John's email address is shown. Look for popup correcting the wrong address. Great guy and world class flies!
