@TheLinkmaster12345 No, the piano is literally flat. I was just trying to play it along with the music and it sounded terrible till I tuned my piano patch down about 31 cents. Then it sounded MUCH better. But he is playing it a half step down. So bring your keys down about 30 cents, and play it a half step up from what he's playing it. :) ...Any key sounds fine as long as you aren't playing with the actual recording.

The way its notated and played are completely different. ive realized that from other videos. thats probably why he had to drop out. the way it was recorded accommodated for the drop out unlike the notated version.

the song isn't detuned, you've just got the song transposed down 1 semitone. On a tuned piano play D# F# B C# and you'll notice that is sounds the same as the original song.

Maybe to you, but I am not you. I have been searching for a year for sheet music for this, all I ever found was the intro. That's why i'm disappointed I cannot use the link.

It's simple muscle memory.. don't over think it. The notes that are played in the intro are the same notes that are played through the whole song, so if you can play the intro you can play the whole thing if you listen to the song enough and learn the pattern.

@PandAgroupinc Dude, it's based on the second mode of the C natural minor scale. C, D, D#, F, G, G#, A#, C (natural minor) D, D#, F, G, G#, A#, C, D (second mode) Fairly simple. It's mostly the same melody, just changing the root note. I don't play piano either really, well, I don't practice, I play bass. I might learn this on both. Anyways, those are the notes used, I didn't really see any chromatic notes.

I don't think they de-tuned the piano. What probably happened is, after they recorded the song, they decided they wanted it a little faster/slower, so they sped up/slowed down the tape, which raised/lowered the pitch. It also sounds a little cool (in my opinion) when a song is between keys. Other songs between keys include "Friday I'm in Love" and "Layla".
