  • Statistically its true. Black woman at least have the highest rate of being single mothers. Probably cuz all the black folk are to busy smokin crack and slammin jungle pussy to have a family! hahaha

  • BrwnBarbie,

you are absolutely freakin gorgeous beyond the meaning of the term! Wow: I'd love to thank your parents for getting together and making you!!!

    Happy new Year!

  • @malarki5 Aww thank you so much! I really appreciate that!

  • WTF is she talking about? Really.

  • True!@ I'd rather be single and happy than miserable and married. I hear that! I've watched my mother go through too many bad relationships (and still going through it) just to be in a relationship and not single. She even was engaged to a man just to say she was engaged knowing the relationship wasn't good anyway. SMDH ladies know your worth!

  • Girl, you know it! There are more women than men on the Earth, especially in America. Then, when looking at the south eastern region....SMH! Most of the single black women I know don't hold high standards, which means people expect you to lower standards that aren't high. What ab.....NO!

  • The thing that piss me off is the fact that black women would even get on television and help participate in this craziness. Like those women on that FOX NEWS episode! Im like come onnnnnn now! Dont make us look even worse than what media already portray us as. Black women got to stop going along with this in the public. That would be a first step in clearing up this madness!

  • "he could use a little bit of what she had on her head" LMAO

  • "he could use a little bit of what she had on her head" LMAO

I agree with you 1000% I am so effin over it!!!!!!!!!

  • @Nappilocs Ugh...

  • WONDERFUL video. It's hilarious that Black women will give these raggedy "experts" their hard-earned $ in order to hear people (namely raggedy Black men) tell them they ain't shyt. That pretend doctor with that donut-shaped hair pattern from RHOA pissed me off too.

P.S. You look pretty and have excellent taste in snacks (e.g. Nilla wafers), lol.

  • @MissEmbrya Lmbo!!! Thanks Chica!

  • preach it !!!!!!!!

  • I totally agree....I think media loves to view us as, black women, "difficult" from our attitudes to our hair and even our relationships. I am 23 married for 2 years to a Mexican gentleman and the feedback that I often get is "oh you had to go outside of your race because black men aren't any good". This is not the case however I believe we stereotype our black relationships. there are a lot of bad men and good men of all races.

  • I totally agree. I have been single since 2005. I date all the time, but I refuse to settle just for the sake of having a man or being married.

  • IMO: Let's not lower our standards. Instead let's open our dating pool. There are plenty quality men that are not black. Ladies, give them a chance too.

  • Hey now. I am so over it. Trust me, Detroit is dry also. The auto plants are closed, and a lot of people are out of work..

  • what was with that ass hole talking about how a woman opening a bottle of ketchup is emasculation? that was dumb

  • Balding fooly....LMAO!! I agree the good doc was lacking in tact. BW are single bc we are choosing to be with the best man for us! BW have always been under the microscope for every negative study done on this planet! SO SICK OF PPL & their views on us.Can't just be a woman who wants quality or to NOT have a house full of kids w/o a husband?I'm not going to accept bulls$#% to say I have a husband.Been married & it is so overrated especially when some can't respect the sanctity of matrimony.

  • "balding foolywang" LOL you are so right about that ridiculous comment he made about the woman with natural hair... I felt that was so disrespectful.

  • @brownskindivah Girl, he's a bafoon!

  • i dont watch the "housewives of ATL" for other reasons..but, i heard that 'doctor' is not even a real doctor and got fired from the college he was a professor @ when they found out his credentials are fake. I warn my little sister all the time to not take the first guy who asks her to marry them. I've been married for 7yrs so I am doing great. But I know a lady who married a guy who doesnt have a job and she was so desperate to just 'be married'. She is stressed with bills and miserable now.

  • @mrsjlong Regarding the "doctor", are you kidding me? I wouldn't be shocked since he spoke terribly, but to take your butt on national tv with that foolishness? Lmbo!

  • @brwnbarbie24 Yes, darling..I am soooo serious...He was a professor at a university and then he went on the reality show "Gilligans Island" as the professor also. All the girls at the college swooned over him. They even had a picture in the blog about his fakeness. He used to have dreads and they did a dreadful number on his crown area of his hair...they were very long and I see that he has a low cut now..someone commented on the blog picture, like " did he SNATCH his dreads out?" ..LMBO...

  • I agree! Ha, ha, do you realize you say "for 1..." alot? Still waiting for 2,3,4,5,...lol! But I feel ya...I'm tired of the branding...it's hard for alot of women...period!

  • @kookyv Lol!

  • That pretty top, nice color for fall.

  • @Sweet4Nature96 Thank you!

  • Wonderfully said! Thank you for speaking on that. I dont buy certain magazines anymore because of that subject being used to death.

  • Tell em girl! If I can't get quality, I don't want it. What God has for me, it is for me. If being me (as God called me to be in terms of standards and dignity) involves/entails being single, so be it! I can do 'bad' all by myself. I'm not even looking for a 'man' anymore. I'm looking for a fellow aspiring spiritual giant who HAPPENS to be male. No less.

  • @TrueHealth27 And, come to think of it, it might be good for OTHER women to take notes! Cause from what I've seen, the main reason why THEIR rates are lower is 'cause they don't have cultural traditions that demonstrate to them that is is neither valid nor OK that, just because they're women, they should be treated like 'trophies/objects', and/or 'doormats'!! Luckily, having worked those plantations as EQUALS with men, Af Am women CLEARLY established that! Our ancestors were warrior queens!

  • Having high standards is fine as long as they are not unrealistic standards.

  • @OmniverseDimensions I agree.

  • @cherrylovexx Even across the pond? Wow, smh!

  • Very good points. I am a Black Man and quit frankly I'm tired of hearing that negative propaganda and misinformation as well.

  • @OmniverseDimensions Thank you very much for your input!

  • @brwnbarbie24 My pleasure Queen.

  • thats horrible. I'm sorry! :)

I hope it gets better iif not sue them!

  • Thank you, thank you, thank you for saying that. They keep beatin the dead horse. I listen to TJMS M-F when I'm at work and I sick of hearing Jacquie Reed complaining about it and it goes on and on. Now, I just turn off or turn down whenever I hear a story about this subject.

  • Amen

  • oh and i was very offended as well with the guy calling the lady afro on the atl housewife show. i thought that was so rude!

  • @kzique73 She should have called him baldie.

  • girl i so feel u! why are black women being called out when the reason all revolve around all you said. its so annoying!!! with all this negative talk about us just puts out poor images of us which are false! we need a book written about why black men have self hate or why do we have a epidemic of down low brothers. i just am so over it!

  • Or these shows saying black women shouldn't look for a black man, they should settle and date outside their race. Women outnumber men in so many other races, e.g China ,yet we don't see other races having these ridiculous conversations. What about the rate of divorce in white households. If people fall in love outside their race, that's great but why are black woman scrutinized as wanting something different than any other woman. As a matter of fact i think this media attention is detrimental.

  • love this real talk! the color purple looks nice on you.

  • I like your top/dress!

  • @treylove8 Thank you!

  • I did not see the ABC show about this. I will stay single until I know that I am with the right man for me. He may not be a black man, he may be hispanic or asian. I don't know. I do know that I'm not dealing with any more b.s.

  • I agree with everything you said...and how about a lot of the black men now days aren't even looking for a black women....hmmmm

  • @PunkinLPN That's another component lol!

  • best part of this vid? the Nilla wafers on the nightstand!!! love it!!

  • @mahoganyknots You know what? I'm too through with you behind this lol!!!!!!!!!

  • @brwnbarbie24 That is okay @mahoganyknots we know its about the twins!

  • @DeeNT1 What? Lol!

  • Great video the topic is currant right now, i understand your frustration.

  • gave you a thumbs up for pointing out the "afro afro " nonsense lol irritated me too

  • balding foolywang! omg lol! I am hollering!

  • Love the blouse.... and the nilla waffers ;0)

  • I soo agree with you. Thank you for sharing your experience too!! I also agree with what you say: it's better to be singe and happy than miserable and in a relationship. As your followers, we only know a portion of your life/personality and even from that, personally you have inspired me to be happy just doing me and not waiting for anybody <3

I also absolutely refuse to settle! <3

  • Love the hair and outfit ! Agree with all points made in video.

  • well said ..... you are so right I am so glad you adressed it

  • I soo agree..love this vid!

  • Girl I feel u on this topic! That guy (I really have to question if he is a dr) Sheree is dating really made me mad when he said that ketchup and afro thing!

Also it made me made that he was talking about why black women can't find a good black man when he obviously isn't in a committed relationship! You know Sheree is gonna dump him in the next couple of episodes anyways lol

  • @radiant812, that puzzles me too. All of these so-called relationship experts are either single their damn selves or have had multiple marriages/divorces. According to my research, Da Lub Docktah is single with 2 kids.

  • Lmao at balding fooliwang! I haven't seen the episode, but yes this is way too much! Overkill!

  • It's probably wrong for me to reference Bad Girls Club lol..but...one girl said something that stood out to me. She said "men know their worth." It's true. If a man knows he's not worth a damn...he is well aware. And if a man know he's a great man...he knows it and expects a just as great, if not better women. Men are expected to have high standards, but they want women to lower thiers smh. I'd rather stay single with my high standards..as many women do. Good topic...I'm over it just as you are

  • @SheSingsLovely AMEN on this!!! I have very high standards and refuse to kiss frogs..LOL

  • Common sense aint common

  • Thank you Thank you! I agree with everything you said. I am so over this whole conversation. Next!

  • Your expressions are priceless, but you are definitely on point. Preach on preacher preach on.

  • i know right wtf... we are not the only ones single

  • this is GREAT i was just lookin @ the steve harvey single black women thing for the 1st time.......and i was thinking the samething.....Well said:)

  • PREACH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I feel ya girl. Hell, some of us want to be single.

  • Girl you better PREACH! I am tired of it too.
