@vacuum321 High-end cordless uprights and handhelds now tend to use lithium-ion batteries, like the Miele Hybrid. They recharge much quicker - ie, 3 hours, as opposed to 16+, and they supply a constant output of energy, rather than gradually trailing away. It's quite a significant step forward, towards a future of 100% cord-free cleaning!
