Tim Truman! This was the one of the many nails that did in Miami Vice. Truman took the place of the incomprehensible genenous music composer named one .....Jan Hammer. You asked the what were the other nails, the destruction of the black ferrari, the killing of Larry Zito, and he elimination of the pastel colors any1? any1?
@GeorgeJansen You can't expect Vice to keep using pastels at the end of the 80's, near the 90's! And I didn't mind the ferrari blown up, the Testarossa was a good follow-up.

@DonCrockett This is some model variant of a Harley Davidson Softail. I don't remember the 80's models,but you can tell by the lack of visible springs on rear fender that its an HD Softail. The wide-spread fork down tubes denote a wide-glide front end, but not a HD Dyna Wideglide.
I would've probably taken it a 6th or 7th Season but no further than that. Don Johnson probably wasn't getting paid like he used to so that was probably a major factor. Plus the Michael Mann and Dick Wolf didn't care enough so it went down the tubes.
Crockett's outfit in this scene (which he wears for most of the episode) and just the music, scenery, and bad guys just felt much more early 90's to me. Crockett doesn't even wear any pastels save for the flashback.
Indeed , i'm also looking after tim truman's music . Very cool songs , today i help myself with freeyoutubetomp3 converter , the quality is acceptable .
Scenes like these, with the grittier look and music, make me suspect they were originally going to Miami Vice into the 90's. I actually like the newer modern approach they were taking; I mean, by this point we had seen Crockett in just about every color of stylish slacks, so stonewashed jeans were an interesting change. It's too bad the show's end was rushed at the end of season 5 rather than giving it a 6th season.
Where can i find this Song ?

Tim Truman was a nail that did MV in? BLASPHEMY!
TT's sound / vibe carried the series better than Mr. Hammer's rather dated synth ever did IMHO. It clearly brought the MV series into the 90s...

@DynoStation
i think they both did awesome work for mv. i just can't say anything negative about jh.

Great episode! Does anybody know what kind of a motorcycle does Sonny ride on this scene?

Don Johnson is among those people who can and have made gold out of a stone by just touching it.
Don and Miami Vice forever.
Love you man.
