This is why I LOVE Horror movies from the 80s so much more. I'm not gonna be one to hate on current movies. But 80s movies was where it was at when it came to imagination. They didn't limit themselves to ghosts and serial saw killers. They went to the friggen outer limits of space to come up with a horror movie. They also used simple inanimate objects back then like THE STUFF. Cute little creatures would kill you (Gremlins, TROLL 1). The 80s were just extremely creepy, weird, and experimental.

HA! Me too. I catched it on TV once when I was 8.

But the movie was so dark and my TV was so fucked up (one of those old JVC you had to watch from like a mile away to not notice the cathodic ray cells of red blue and green light but it was tiny so I had no choice to look at it closely and couldn't see shit) that I couldn't even get six-eighth's of the movie but for what I could HEAR it was pretty scary I gess I was lucky.

But for a cheapie, low-grade flick (which I'm all for, with flicks like "The Incredible Melting Man" from the 70's, & "Basket Case" & "C.H.U.D." to name a few), I just did not like this movie! It dragged, terrible acting (even for a movie like this), very uncompeling/unlikable characters with teeth-gradingly annoying Cockney accents, & low on the gore. I'm not the A.D.D. riddled 12 yr old you thought I was.

Aww what an adorable kid. I think I can speak for all when I say it's a parents dream to have a child who from the neck down is inside out! I am actually a bit surprised over the effectiveness of this trailer. However, I have a nagging feeling that we were just shown all the best scenes for free. One other thing I have to ask is what exactly is the alien "avenging"? From where I'm sitting it looks like it came to Earth due to it being in the mood for a free human buffet.

I remember I loved this back in the eighties when i saw it. it was sick and twisted and really imaginative, something you just don't get in modern horror films. i doubt it would even get made these days. i bought the soundtrack LP and the synth music is by the director too. really creative.

I saw this film for the first time in the 1986. I l iked it , real sci-fi horror I thougt then and still think now. Never since I 've been that intrigued by the plot, art direction and the directors work. The great thing about it is : the cult status it still enjoy, while I doubt it was ment to be one by the director. After Alien and The thing this is the "must see" sci-fi classic in my opinion.
