  • The battle of New Orleans was fought and won on the 8th of January. The battle of New Orleans was written by Jimmy Driftwood (who also wrote the Tennesee Stud) to commemerate it. Johnny HOrton made it a hit, but he used only a few of the actual verses.

  • It's strung with Worth CM (clear medium) strings. It sounds good with most anything, though.
