  • it's incredible. I can feel it going right through my body

  • my favourite peice of music or infact ny favourite song ever, what i would have given to see that, john williams is amazing, im just glad i am alive in his time.

  • Too damn fast! Slow down John, theres no rush.

  • amzing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • THE ONE AND ONLY JOHN WILLIAMS !!!!

  • I was there! This was such a great concert.

  • Beethoven,John Williams and Ennio Morricone=The Best one

  • i start crying wen i hear this idk y im so passionate about the violin so yeah i love it i put all my emotions into it

  • How did i get from Searching" Difference and Sum of Cubed Trinomial" (For homework)

    to Jurassic Park Theme song.

    DAM YOU YOUTUBE!!!

  • Yikes.

  • Jurassic Park is the most diverse and distinct theme among all other themes

  • it's to fast,.....

  • Way too fast

  • Blah, even if this is how John Williams thinks it should be, this song really sounds a lot better played slow.

  • stop commenting and putting stuped question and just say your opinion about the song....... for me its beautiful.... i love it !!!

  • I think this is more the closing credits style, which is much faster

  • It's so fantastic....i was last year in the hollywood bowl and the orchestra is so amazing...

  • Or better still, Beethoven = John Williams of past times ;-)

  • @andreadyt lol or maybe beethoven was reborn as jon williams ?

  • @eggrollman24

This hypothesis would surely fit perfectly, so it's probably the right one. :-)

  • @andreadyt I think Webber is way better no offence but phantom of the opera speaks for it self.

And even he isnt better than Beethoven just saying you gotta have respect for the best composer of all time :p

  • @LoveMusic123211

I didn't speak seriously, come on...

It was just a fun way to express my admiration for mr. John Williams.

  • @andreadyt

No, no... John Williams is great, but you know Beethoven.. man it was Beethoven !!!

  • John Williams = Beethoven of our time

  • @rayamoy heck its better than beethoven :D

  • Amazing.. :O

  • He's ploughing through it isn't he? He absolutely has the right to as its his music, but it seems very fast.

  • I've noticed that the original soundtrack is the only rendition where it's as slow as it is. Everywhere else (concerts, Lost World soundtrack), it all sounds rushed in comparison. *Don't remember JP3*

  • Well if you notice on the original soundtrack there are practically two versions. One slow, one fast

  • which orchestra is this?

  • LA Philharmonic orchestra

  • wers the end

  • John Willians!! best composer ever!!

You can see the films whe you lisent every note of all his music

  • God how I wish I'd been there.

  • amazing

  • this song gave me the chills

  • er... these people wrote the song.. they aren't gonna stuff it up.

  • For some reason, the concert suite of Jurassic Park is always done at this tempo. It is this was on his greatest hits CD, and when I saw this song performed live last week, it was also performed at this tempo. It think he decided to make it much faster than in the movie in order to prevent the concert from dragging.

  • i noticed that to

  • I think when he was composing the score he had it a little faster and had to slow it down for the movie because it was requested .

  • john williams and nobou uetsmatsu

    best composers living today

  • COMPLETELY AGREE!! :)

  • TRUE xD

  • I had a chance to go to this show and I didn't. I am so hating myself right now.

  • yeah you should lol... no offense. Why didnt you go?

  • Because I suck!!!

  • i am probably going to get hated on but john williams is awsome but i think that howard shore is just a tad better lol but this is to good ty for posting :)

  • its a matter fo taste John Williams is a tad more known by the masses because of the mainstreaming that the themes he has done over the years have turned to be the most famous and powerful movie franchises in movie history, but both are awesome and great and both have my utmost respect and admiration

  • yeh i guess matter of taste and oppinion but they are both very good and probably the best composers by a long shot i think well who r in the show biz , i think 2 best conductors, who r living :)

  • who's howard shore?

  • The Composer for a lot of Movies. All The Lord of the rings Movies, Doubt, Eastern Promises, The Aviator, The Departed, Silence of the Lambs and not to forget Mrs. doubtfire.

  • i thought howard shore did the music for the lord of the rings..i could be wrong tho..john william is the man

  • I was talking about Howard Shore;)

  • yea Howard Shore wrote a fantastic score to LOTR

  • Is that John Williams conducting?

  • yes retard

  • No, the tempo is actually correct. There are different versions of the same piece. It's John William's piece, so he can do whatever he wants with it

  • Love the theme to Jurassic Park. The helicopter ride part in Journey to the Island made me play the trumpet... Always wanted to play that part. That's my favorite piece of all time.

  • Waay too fasr, it was pretty good besides that.

  • it was a little fast, but i think he chose the tempo...it is his music afterall

  • lol dick

  • Awesome

  • the tempo is kinda....bouncy....

  • I was thinking the exact same thing while watching another video of this same performance.

  • No other composer that I could remember could create so many memorable themes for so many countless movies. You hear bits of notes and you immediately recognize the films they belong to. And very few composers could transport us thru music into fantastic places like Isla Nublar, Hogwarts, a galaxy far far away,or hiking adventures with an archaeologist, a little alien, or the man of steel. Only one composer could do that, the man JOHN WILLIAMS!!!

  • that was probably the most accurate comment i have seen on youtube. ever.

  • this should be the description for the movie

  • O_o this version is a little fast... they need 1 kitkat

  • its not the ballad version. its the happy ending version at the end of the movie. right speed

  • too fast T_T

  • Concerts can be sped up depending on how much time the composer is given to "present"... although... This IS John Williams and he shound NEVER be given a limitation... EVER!!!

  • John Williams is amazing. From Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Jurassic Park, Harry Potter. What's next for him?

  • Comment removed

  • dude!not funny

  • Is John Williams the conductor there? I mean... I don't like the tempo in this version... slower is much beautiful

  • this seems a little fast....

  • BEAUTIFUL music!

  • wtf i wish u didnt cut off at the end....GREAT MUSIC!!!

  • I run out of Space in my memory card in that concert!! :(

  • @luisbadialopez

    that´s exactly why i´m using a 16GB card..... ;-)

  • Never made a concert dvd or anything? I Would like to have a concert dvd with all of John Williams' masterpieces.

  • We're not insulting John WIlliams' composing ability when we say it's too fast. It's just as simple fact. The brilliance of this theme is that it's slow, reserved, almost hymnal. Hearing it sped up is a bit jarring. It's brilliant music, but I would question the choice to make it so fast.

  • why are people saying that it's "too fast"? John Williams wrote it, he can take it at a presto if he wanted to. lol

  • Read the comment above you and you will understand:) And offcourse he can do what he wants with it.

  • Star Wars theme, Superman theme, Indiana Jones theme, ET theme, Jurassic Park theme, Harry Potter theme, Jaws theme... John Williams makes the most memorable scores than every other composers could have done in their lifetime!! and there's a whole lot more of them than the ones I listed. Hands down, John Williams is a living legend.

  • This is a faster version because is taken form the Lost World!

  • The most beautiful theme of all time!!!

  • the songs for jurassic park are pure perfection

  • too fast

  • i played this song for band. only from 3:18 though D:

  • Without John Williams we have to listen to Danny Elfman no offense. You go John Williams!

  • stealing a joke from family guy blue harvest...

  • It's actually normal at this point in the song, there are two versions of the theme. I've always loved both. The quality of the sound is not great though. =[

You people would know this if you knew his work and the movie.

    j/k, thats mean of me.

  • oh my God...! that was really tooooo fast!

  • lol he's the composer... he do whatever he likes...

  • Actually, John Williams is so f***ing good that he tricked you into thinking he was playing too fast.

  • It was such a great song that it didnt feel long enough. :)?

  • Yea i was just goiing to say. Really fast, the beginning was great but i sped up way to fast, I really love the theme, I agree John Williams is the best I've ever known

  • playing this in band, fun but im the euphonium so it's not that exciting for me lol

  • Hey mormondave,

I'm a fellow low brass. I a t-bone and our parts were seemingly always hum-drum. I used to look at it this way until I began to realize the rest of the band would sound like crap without us and otherwise. That's why they call it a band. Learn to appreciate each part and its contribution. We all contribute equally, except of course you have a rest!

  • haha nice,

    i understand, it's all good

    thanks =)

  • ima t-bone player to ROCK ON!!!!

  • sniperwill0,

I love being a t-bone, b/c sometimes our parts are AWESOME SOUNDING! T-bones blowing hard(without blasting) triple forte in HARMONY(three part)is startling....It's so POWERFUL and MAJESTIC!

  • Beautiful

  • Im playing this in band now!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Hey hes the song right of jurrasic park its his song dot ude him hes doing his best for yall at least hes preforming somthing :D and i lov it i think its perfect

  • wow, this song sucks so much faster..Why the hell didn't he slow it down

  • The entire theme begins with this first part more faster the 2nd part. The "true" theme that we can hear on the movie is the 2cd part of the entire theme of Jurassic Park, the end of this video (we can hear it's more slower).

  • Actually, you're both right. This song does have two parts, but sometimes they're flipped, depending on the version of the song you're listening to. When the faster part is played first, it does start off a lot faster. But when the slower part is played first, the song starts a lot slower (which is what samhain81 was referring to). To be honest, I like the slower version better, myself.

  • universal studios!!!

  • Eh, I can see where it might be too fast...but perhaps they had a time constraint and John Williams wanted to get the whole entirety of the theme in??

Or he just likes conducting his songs faster???

Anyways, I like this theme, not as much as others, but John Williams is an all time masterful composer. Long may he live!

  • this is one of the most beautiful songs ever!

trevor rabin - armageddon either. <333

  • My favourite movie theme without Q. Nothing else even comes close.

  • this is one of the god theme songs, the other gods are starwars and indy jones, and a few others.

  • lol, the only time i say yes too the word "god"

  • this is the best music ever

  • So true and it brings back memories!Jurassic Park I rules!the others were awesome too but the first one takes the prize

  • all i can say its the best pice of music ive ever heard in my life its a southing song its just an amazing song.

  • Why is there so many comments with thumbs down? Im confused @_@

Its a great song >_> Thats all anybody has to say.

  • LOL

  • no u don't

  • Has the video been speed up?

  • hmm sure sounds like it doesn't it?

  • simply amazing!!

  • *sniff* this is nice cuz the movie is set on dinosaurs and why you should not try to clone them *sniff* and it reminds me of my friend

  • Your friend was a dinosaur?

  • yeah it does *sniff*

  • lol

  • haha *hands over tissue*

  • To fast :( but still good

  • Cant say it was to fast. It was obviously as fast as he wanted it to. Btw this is John Williams conducting it in this video

  • way too rushed. Is it miller time for the conductor or something?

  • John Williams often speeds up the tempo when conducting his music...

  • SOunds like they were in a hurry lol....wished it was slowed down....

  • I sounds as if it's been pitched?

  • defo

  • this brings me up when im down... i cant believe how beautiful the music is. bravo!

  • I do know that grown men are capable of many things...many which readily come to mind are quite horrible. But seeing grown men take part in such a collective act which is beautiful, touching, and awe-inspiring, reminds us all that to be human is more than the stereotyped masculine roles society sets out for us. This is worthy human potential actualizing itself in a harmonic chorus that makes us cry and become awe-struck.

  • Uhh... It was kind of a rhetorical question, but thanks for your philosophic insights! Dude, you should be a writer....

  • I love this!! <3333

  • you're an idiot.

  • because it's awesome

  • very good, lovd it.but was faster than it should have been

  • you are not an idiot.

  • I was great

  • John williams is one of the greatest composers of all time!

  • feels like it was rushed. good nonetheless

  • genious

  • are stupid wat the hell? how can u compare this to porn u insilent little prick!

  • exactly

  • I think BGTincorp said that because John is conducting in 2/4 because he has upped the tempo and it would be impossible for him to conduct a 4.

  • Why do people that have no idea what they are talking about feel the need to make stupid comments like 'it's supposed to be played in 4/4 ..it's too fast' ...that it's played in 4/4 has NOTHING to do with TEMPO!!!!

  • *Sigh* Let me explain.

On a music sheet there are bars that expand the music page(s). The bars are cut into segments called measures. Each measure has beats. The standard for all music is 4/4 or four measures per bar with 4 beats in each measure. Thus, 4/6 is 4 measures per bar with six beats in each measure. If you knew anything about music theory you would realize that 4/4 or 4/6 or 2/4 measure the tempo or speed of the music.

  • it affects the pace of the piece, but not the actual tempo. Tempo means (crotchet, quaver, semi-quaver etc) beats per minute.

Time signatures are used to group the music correctly.

  • holy #@!$
