Etymologically speaking, "slut" has nothing to do with sexual proclivity. "Slut" is pf germanic derivation and more properly refers to a messy, careless housekeeper. "Fussy" [German: fussig] is the antonym, meaning an attentive house-keeper. "Fussbudget" means one who is overly-attentive.
