Other Tucson's competiting segments are Nissan Rogue, Honda CR-V, Toyota RAV-4 and Jeep Compass.

All these cars except Honda, they are all around same power and trim level, AWD with 4 cylinder engine with 170 HP or so, CR-V does around 180 HP.

Why would this veichle needs to be more than 200+?

That's way overpowered for this type of segement, 170 or up to 180 is good enough besides if you check out some of reviews Tucson delivers torque and power pretty well.

Seriously if you are looking for 200+ hp with this level of segment, please go for Infinity, VW, or BMW.

I do not see why this car needs more than 200+, like they already have Santa Fe which delivers 276 hp.

The new Sonata will have a 2.4L 200hp motor. The Tucson will have the exact same engine, but with almost 25hp less! Reviews already complain that acceleration is on the slow side for the Tucson. Hyundai is going to offer a 150hp fuel effeciency version of this SUV, atleast allow the customer a more powerful 2.4L motor. 176hp is on the low side.

Hyundai Has the Accent, a car with decent features for the money and 37 MPG. Chrysler has a car the size of an Accent with a crude ancient engine that gets 29 MPG. The materials in this Small car (Cough Cough PT Cruiser) belong in Last generation Accents, yet the car costs more.

This car is ok. If you don't like it don't buy it. Take a good look at it and you'll there's quality right there. Ford ain't that good. Toyota too. I hear some recalls here and there. I didn't hear any coming from Hyundai. Maybe there are some. I don't know yet. I own the old version. I'm happy with it. It's affordable and it derved me well. The interior, exterior, engine, handling. They are all good. I've seen this one and it could be a big hit too. Again there's no point in saying bad words.

Where I come from HP doesn't really matter that much. The heavy traffic won't make you need the HP some other cars have, another thing to consider is the cost fuel. It's so high.

Gee...Let's see. Pathfinder: $27to $43k. Tucson: $18-25k. Why not tell someone who wants a Malibu not to waste their time--buy a Cadillac instead?
