i have an idea. take a ping pong ball and glue little magnets on them all facing S out. then make a whole sphere of stronger magnets with S facing in so the ping pong ball inside will float.
Did it ever occur to any of you that Ed was useing the B field of the magnets. That's why they were alligned in the repel mode, also think about this, the best way to conduct the "B" field from a magnet is have it conduct through the iron. In Ed's case it looked like he used the old crank case to make a good connection with earth & to help spread the field, thats just Ed and his new found use for an old truck part.. he needed the mass of iron to cunduct the "B" field into the ground

Scotty, Like the others, I don't see the point of what you are trying to demonstrate.I'd think that the steel flywheel would detract from the magnetism of all the magnets, essentially rendering them useless. I have Ed's book on magnetism and of course can't understand it :( We'd all like to know how he cut the stones and lifted them into position. Sure u can lift a stone with the pulley and tripod but what happens after that? U've got it up now how the heck do u get it out from under the thing?

That 3 phase motor would have an impact on the FLYWHEEL. Ed Leedskalnin once said "once you get the north and south magnet chasing each other the magnetic current will not stop unless you break the current". So, Why need a motor to run another motor?
I know he used water in his machine. It was a key factor in generating electricity I believe. Waters' property of electronegativity could have helped in transfering the electricity from the magnets to the center? My hypothesis needs to be tested or debated.
