@dragonode1 I have the same issue, the red light indicating it's in sleep mode is on but when i try to power the tv on the red light turns off and blue (meaning on) never comes up. Please let me know if you've fixed your tv and how you did it. Thanks!
@princeoz17 lol the thing is that i ended up giving to a TV repair shop. even though its a waist of money but i know it wont be more than the exact TV.
Ha, my tv went out only 3 months after warranty just last night. The tv will turn on and the audio is working. Yet you can hear a screeching sound coming from the rear of the tv, and smell a faint burning of electrical parts. I hope it is something small..... Can't spend another $1000 on a new one!!
@bigchris0886 have you fixed it yet, i was watching my tv and it made a pop noise and smoke came out the back of it it smelled burnt it makes has sound but its black screen .do you have any ideas that can help me
@22boi100 Yea I have. Turns out it was the power board on the tv. The power and A/V boards are separate. I pulled the cover off the back, unplugged all connectors to A/V, and plugged the power board only into the wall. Screeching and stink. Found the part number and ordered it for 70 bucks. Put it back in, works just like new. Only takes a couple minutes to disassemble and put back together.
Hey man ive got the black screen with no sound on my LG 32inch TV but the light isnt blinking do you still think this is the capacitors? Or something else, im asking because ive already ordered replacements for my capacitors and am waiting for them to be posted
Heck yeah thanks for the video man, replaced the bulged/split capacitors and it runs like new. Got me a 47 inch for 5 bucks and like 30 mins of my time
My LG 42 inch doesn't turn on and the light doesn't flash or anything, but when I hit the power button I can hear the board in the back making a slight buzzing. I took the back off the tv and 4 caps are bubbled and one is busted. Would this be the caps/fuse as well, or just the capacitors?
thanks bro

Checked both fuses on the power board, they tested good, so I'm going to replace the capacitors, any thoughts would be appreciated though
Pringle15 3 months ago
@Pringle15 only change your capacitors if they are bulging. have you seen my other videos:
