I remember well hearing this song when it was released, I was a teen and lost 2 young friends tragically and home was a place of gloom and then wow, it uplifted my soul, my mum loved it too and we'd have the volume up so high singing our hearts out. I know the lyrics are more about a break up but to us it was about getting through a time of grief and heartbreak. Beautiful song, beautiful singer, beautiful voice.
