I think a lot of musicians feel this way. I certainly do. So does my guitar teacher. Settling down with an easy life seems okay. I personally don't think you should think about becoming big. I think you should just truly enjoy making music. If you can do that it doesn't matter whether you get big by doing it or not.

@leezuh I wanted to be a game design writer--you know, one of the people who comes up with the storyline and lore for video games. Unfortunately most companies get their writers from existing game design staff, and I simply do not have the artistic or technical abilities to be either on the graphical teams or the coding teams. Someday I may be able to teach karate full time, which would also be my dream career but I'm not ready to open a school and it's very tough to actually live off of that.
