  • @RodneySTR You need the backing track for this Randy masterpiece. Without it it can become lost and a little boring. Check out the iTunes festival 2010 version in dropped tuning. It kills.

  • Yeah, I'd say you're close enough ;-)

  • Justice... thats what you did sir to this song

  • I just added this to my favorites, not to bad.

  • you need to take away the backing track and just play it on guitar so we can hear YOU play it :) cheers

  • Dude that was nice! I too was heavily influenced by Randy back in the 80s when I was learning. If anyone out there is interested in a guitar lesson on the Randy Rhoads' version, please check out my channel - I just added the video. I include breakdowns of each lick, tabs on the screen, and I review the scales and theory behind it too. Rock on!

  • is randy roads the original person who did the song? or the lead guitarist when ozzy broke away from black sabbath?

  • @topher87090 Both, Randy is the mastermind who played and created all guitar parts for Ozzys classics - crazy train, i dont know, over the mountain and so on. He was amazing, R.I.P

  • Awesome job - perfect - great tone too! : )

  • kickin ass hehe

  • Dude ur a freakin beast!!!!!

  • amazing !!!!

  • Fucking Mind Blowing man. great job. far better then I can do. now can you accept this request. can you do the Live Randy Rhodes Version of this song as found on the Tribute CD?

  • 2 thumbs up and a penis one up hoo ha

  • nailed it, nice!

  • very well done Thorny... enjoyed it.

  • i cant do those fucking natural harmonics motherfucker lol comes out sooo caca sounding. you gotta lightly tap the fret but just enough to hit that note right ?

  • @Terrible1 Yep, you got to put very little pressure, and it sounds best on 5,7,12, and 19 i think.

  • @Terrible1

Yeah you're supposed to rest your finger on the string on the 12th fret for example (there are others such as 5 and 7) pick and take your finger away immediately if you want the sound to sustain

  • Nice playing dude - getting trills really tight like you do is always one of the harder parts of Randys playing I find...

  • Too mechanical. Where's the vibrattos and energy in the riffs?

  • Great job!!!!

  • nice,thats,the,s989,please,teach,me.im.at.f,book,drop.apage,?

  • nice fukin job!!!!smoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooth...dont hide your face ol timer i can tell by yer hands!!!!!unbelieveable 100%note 4 noe...almost like a lesson from randy....thanx!!!!

  • @steviestories5 Randy is dead rip

  • Da second notes da eighth fret and the first one I don't know. Lol.

  • any one knows the frets where he plays the harmonic at 0:33 really need it,thanks: )

  • damn man you're awesome!! im trying to learn this song to..but i get stuck at the bridge with the clean sound...that part is difficult! (and ofcourse the solo..but im trying to improv that at a slower speed =P) but man..this is a good video of the song to learn some stuff!! it's better than tabs i think! greetz from Holland

  • Dude that was completely awesome...I wish Ozzy would pick you up and drop Zakk Wylde, his style and lack of skill just ruins most Randy songs...i'd much rather hear you on tours lol

  • @vaibanez17 Randy is the best but you cant say Wylde has no talent

  • what is your guitar ibanez???????

  • @MissionNickGoth ibanez prestige

  • rg 350 dx

  • dude randy rhoads is the shit thats my favorite

  • Sounds beautiful man! Nice and crisp!! Great song to play; can never go wrong with a Randy song.

  • The best cover I've ever seen. 5 stars, no doubt.

  • ur amazing man

  • Great job nice finger pick and pick up and whagmin and I like your flange what amp u usin l6 or marshell? Nice vid

  • Rhoads over Wylde any day!

  • @abzdefg321123 yup way to speak the truth well....I DONT KNOW lol long live king randy

  • @abzdefg321123 amen

  • @abzdefg321123 all of ozzy's guitarists were perfect for their time.

  • @abzdefg321123 this dude over Wylde any day!

  • @beano1eye haha true dat!

  • @abzdefg321123 you're fucked. as much as i love randy rhoads (i've listened to blizzard and diary each a million times)... zakk wylde is such a phenomenally exciting player, and plays the randy songs with such fire and passion. zakk is an absolute monster live and has more strength in his hands than iommi rhoads and lee put together. he was perfect for ozzy.

he would be regarded as the best oz guitarist ever if ozzy had recorded more zakk material that ended up as BLS material.

  • @loknloll You're kidding, right? Randy was this phenomenal at the age of, what, 25? You can clearly hear the constant evolution in his music from Blizzard to Diary. His life was cut short and we don't know what he would have put out. Just listen to how unique it is even 28 years later. STILL no one like him.

Zakk has had the same style since he showed up. I love Zakk and his work is phenomenal as well. But you managed to single-handedly shit all over three of the best guitarists of the age.

  • @3dEnthusiast you have to understand i'm as big an ozzy fan as your gonna find. i'm an actual sit-in-front-of-the speakers type of oz enthusiast, as well as a guitarist. technically, for me? lee is the most out there. i didn't intend to shit on beloved randy... i go back and forth on everyone's merits in relation to ozzy in my own head. i really feel if ozzy had recorded 20 of the absolutely suitable and best BLS tracks, the osbourne legacy would be insane. but he didn't. to zakk's discredit.

  • @loknloll Jake E Lee's stuff with OzzY is far superior to Zakk's!

  • @beano1eye a matter of opinion my friend. i love jake e lee, and the 2 albums he did with ozzy. he was a phenomenal player. the point i keep making is, if ozzy had recorded zakk's best material, it would have made zakk even more appreciated than he already is.

there are so many BLS tracks that i can imagine ozzy singing, and it would have meant we'd have the sickest ozzy back catalog, a legacy even more mental than it is now. ozzy singing, destruction overdrive, funeral bell? fuck...

  • @loknloll didn't Ozzy let Zakk go because he thought Ozzy Osbourne were sounding to much like BLS, so I don't think there was ever a chance of Ozzy singing BLS stuff IMO.

  • @beano1eye that is true but ozzy did sing back up vocals in a bls song

  • @beano1eye if you understand the contract Zakk had with Sharon, Ozzy gets first option on anything Zakk wrote. so, if Suicide Messiah shows up on a BLS record and Sharon and Oz had never heard it, they could (and would|) sue Zakk. the point being, they passed up a lot of killer tracks which Zakk took home and did with BLS. it originally wasn't to sound less like BLS but less like old Ozzy and Sabbath. which is also why they didn't ever record with Rick Rubin who wanted to do a classic Oz disc.

  • @loknloll NOOO STFU Randy was way better than zakk

  • boahh amazing^^î like it^^5*****5

  • one of the best riffs ever!!

  • Great cover!

Do you like that RG350DX? I've heard nothing but good things about it and Im thinking of buying one.

  • I've seen several of videos of this guy playing other songs also. He is pretty freakin' dead-on with this one as well. Check out "Atomic Punk" by Van Halen(look for his guitar)...absoultely sick! Apparently he's a Eddie and Randy fan..but then again who isn't. Keep up the GREAT work dude...very inspirational.

  • where did you get the clean part of the song?

  • Hi! Very goog. One of the best cover. ;-)
