Had to put up with the sanctimonious pricks at the lab, in the library, who sat around, playing with the balls in the mouse, after classes were out. Waiting for a chance to use one of those bummer Macs, because the professor would not take my perfectly typewritten paperwork, I did at home....

I had a love/hate response to Apple over the years. But, no one can argue the contributions of one Steve Jobs in our lifetime.
That said, I had done a video collecting events over the last 40 years (I'm Steve's age), including shots of the first Mac. I had a love/hate response to Apple over the years. But, no one can argue the contributions of one Steve Jobs in our lifetime.
That said, I had done a video collecting events over the last 40 years (I'm Steve's age), including shots of the first Mac. I've posted the video, "40 years in 3 minutes" also containing the Beatles' rooftop performance and other 8mm film antics from the period, all cut tightly to GET BACK and GLASS ONION. Hope you enjoy!

I am glad Steve is gone. He took open source like FreeBSD = Mac OS and other products and never gave anything free to the community.
He wanted to control everything and own everything. It is even hard to work between Mac and open source products because his stupid "Apple File Protocol" network shit.

Samsung is doing the same without apple there would be no popup keyboard on your cellphone. and no finger walking touch screens. your cellphone would come with pop out keyboards and if you say some one would have come up with it look at how long it took from the pull out key and none innovate this. @roboptions Jobs did not invent the mouse. Douglas Engelbart did, to go with a windows type system. Jobs did not invent GUI systems, he used them and improved them too. Bill Gates sent IBM to Jobs, who did not even see it as worth his time to meet with them. Jobs did not invent touch screens, he just improved what was already there, like alot of other technical minds. He contributed to entertainment and design. I would LOVE for someone to tell me one way he improved the world for humanity.

After that the best known computer using a graphical user interface (WINDOWS) was Macintosh Desktop in 1984.
Windows 1.0 was first released on 20 November 1985.
