@theabttgshow it makes a lot of sense since the song is about using drugs the lyrics r correct they are tiffany twisted. explanation: tiffany's is a juveleer so it is twisted from the materialism. same goes with the mercedes bends as the reality bends

so if u know and listen to the story u'll find that this very line make a hell of a lot sense (:

@012britt Thanks for the quick answer. That explains why I couldn't find "colitas" under desert flowers of California, or in a dictionary. Now I'll try using this new word in a sentence: During the Eagles performance at the Hollywood Bowl, last week, the warm smell of colitas was rising up thru the air!

@calisun2009 That is a good question. I looked it up and it said "Colitas," in the line "Warm smell of colitas," is often interpreted as a flower or a sexual reference. It is a Spanish word translated to Henley by the Eagles Mexican-American road manager meaning "Little Buds," and is a reference to marijuana. (weird)

@calisun2009 COLILLA is a Spanish word, I've just looked it up in the Spanish dictionary and the definition is: ' the part of a cigarette that we don't smoke', meaning - the butt of a cigar...I don't know if that's the colitas Eagles refer to, but it could be...Great karaoke, by the way:) And i have one question - does it say MERCEDES BENZ, as in - type of the Mercedes? @cecaification Hi, Thanks for looking up "colitas". The real lyrics read " mercedes bends" . A play on words, refering to the high expense of Mercedes and to the "bends" a reaction to drugs. She's got the mercedes bends.

@cecaification Hmmmm, I think that means that once you are a part of that "in" crowd you can never and will not want to ever leave. Perhaps it refers to once one has an addiction they can leave the physical location behind, but the physical addiction will follow them anywhere. It's probably a bad idea to become addicted to a substance, a person, or fame. I don't have any of theses problems, yet I am not happy. What's the solution?
