thats such a small cup of coffee though i can drink a whole pot no problem

You can put a mat (or a place mat) under the maker to lower vibration/noise. I don't find mine to be loud at all considering I'm getting a perfectly brewed cup of coffee in under a minute. No mess, no wasted coffee to pour down the drain either. Over 200 varieties at about $.40 a serving. You could always spend 8-10 times that at Starbucks.
