  • Funny, but can anyone remind me who or what "Jacqui Smith" was or did ?

  • it didnt work

  • XD too funny

  • The name of the beast is written on the back of the ID cards.

  • Religions are dangerous because they attempt to replace common sense, judgement and innate morals with those of someone else. This is why politicians tolerate and encourage faiths.

The concept of hell, unbelievable and violent as it is in both religions, is not linked to violent acts.

Violence in Islam is due to certain Surahs and Hadiths (and lack of central figures to guide people); in the teachings of Christ there is no such commandment or permission to kill. It is mortal sin, no exception.

  • I don't believe this conflict is just about circumstances. The ideas of jihad are very much alive in Hamas, Fatah and Hezbollah and the Koran and Hadiths are (ab)used to justify violence. The conflict is between Israel and a proportion of muslims, so I am not sure why people keep mentioning Christian fundamentalism as though it is related. The issue is Islam because the Palestinians identify themselves first as muslims and muslims around the world sympathise with them because they are muslims.

  • After 9/11 the US wanted the state responsible, however, it was soon evident that it was a network of muslims with a radical ideology. This ideology is attacking many regions around the world. There is no way of waging a traditional war on these networks so the war is on those involved in the ideology (or it should be). When civilised muslims sympathise with extremism then the issue becomes increasingly about Islam. The 7/7 attack in UK, Spain, Bali, etc. - all westerners in the name of Islam.

  • But you are assuming that the ideologies Hamas pushes are exactly what all the Palestinian people believe. For 99% of them it doesn't matter, they, like all people, just want to live in peace and good health. If you're going to judge the entire religion by what the most fundamentalist say then yes they are evil. But my point was if you listen to the most fundamentalist Christians or Jews, then those religions are just as evil.

  • I totally agree that nearly everyone wants peace and all religions are wrong, but having different rules they lead to different outcomes. Fundamentalism can be used as a pejorative (taking the worst out of the religion), or to say someone who follows to the letter. In Christianity, following to the letter means a life close to that of Jesus, in Islam it is a life close to that of Muhammad. Their lives were very different. Now, of course they are both wrong, but it is for different reasons.

  • But almost no one lives according to the literal words in their holy book. And even if they did they would be following a translation of a translation of an interpretation. And even then at least 50% of that stuff would not make any sense in the modern world and quite a lot of it probably illegal these days.

I'm not convinced the Koran is inherently more "violent". If I wanted to preach violence using the Bible I could do so with ease (and many do.)

The violence is in the people, not the books

  • What you are saying is true in the wider sense, but don't you think the Mid-East is a little desensitised by public executions and limb removals under Sharia. I'm sure UK Muslims would be just as disturbed by it as I, but I suspect the tolerance for this sort of thing has got to be higher in that part of the world. This sort of justice system is quite incompatible with the teachings of Christ and western laws, which makes it hard to ignore it. Perhaps we should be comparing cultures instead?

  • Is it really that different though? In the bible people were stoned. In fact God disposes of large quantities of non-believers with glee. The new testament is a little less violent but there are still plenty of examples. And even then I would argue that the concept of hell itself is a pretty violent concept.

I think your first statement is much more to the point. Many of these people have grown up knowing nothing but violence. Both from extremists and foreigners.

  • Christians don't treat the Bible as Muslims the Koran. The Bible is not followed in its entirety. Christ brought a change from the "Old" to the "New", hence the distinction between Testaments and the term "Christ"ian. There ARE accounts of violence in the Bible by the society of the time, BUT Christ objected to it - neither he nor his apostles (once converted) ever committed violence. The Koran is regarded as valid in its entirety and Muhammad PRESCRIBES violence at times. Christ didn't.

  • Again you're commenting on some of the people some of the time. People in completely different social circumstances. If the US had been occupied for 30 years and known nothing but bombing and violence I can assure you Christians would be just as violent as some Muslims are today.

What holy book you follow is irrelevant, it's human nature.

  • ...I can assure you *Americans* would be just as violent...

There is no excuse for murder in Christianity, none, "Thou Shalt Not Kill". Any murderer claiming to be Christian is a liar as well as a murderer.

I'm not a fan of religion, but the Koran has a vengeful edge that Christianity doesn't, this doesn't mean it more legitimate. Both are based on ignorance of world.

But, you are right, in war human nature prevails. Hopefully Obama will help the Palestians and Israelis come to an agreement.

  • @PrettyNeckslashes i dont see the fricke problem there is a simple answer the isrealies get the properly earned land ,as the lend in question was israley won in a war the didnt start the palistenianes did

  • Yes,there were mufti's in paris who teamed up with the Nazis, this is true. But isn't it interesting that the stories of the Imams and muftis hiding jews in the basement of the mosques don't make it into the mainstream media. Most humans are completely adverse to the truth;they just want to hold onto their futile beliefs.

  • So your point is that Muslims (or other religious worshippers) do good deeds as well as horrific deeds?

  • Isn't it obvious what I'm saying? I'm saying relay both sides of something rather than just one. I'm not going to argue with you as it is obvious from your various postings that you are not only profoundly ignorant but also very self important. You want all people of faith to fit into some crude stereotype..well we don't! I hope your bitterness and anger give you cancer of the asshole!..have good day!

  • Your reply is totally disproportionate to what I said. You had every chance to clarify your comment in your previous post. Obviously I don't know you which is why I sought confirmation of what I thought you were saying, to highlight a point I think is unreasonable. Given your response what stereotype do you think you have earned? ...I have some understanding because I think the issue is important and I believe exchanging thoughts means the useful is spread and the useless eventually dies out.

  • I think he meant:

"Mein Kampf is the Koran in a different cover."

    ...Lets respect chronology.

It is a well known fact that Hitler admired the Koran. YouTube search (also in my profile):

PROPAGANDA AGAINST THE JEWS/HITLER AND THE MUFTI'S GOAL

Know that the purpose of Islam is to rid the world of Jews and Christians and establish a world Islamic state (see Quran, Hadths, the factual evidence is also overwhelming).

  • All theistic religions are equally repugnant.

  • All religions are perversions or the result of a psychological 'limitation'.However, I disagree with the claim of equality. Equality rarely applies to different technologies, different theories, different civilisations or pieces of literature: eg. Peter Pan is not equal to Shakespeare - both are ultimately commentaries on on the human condition (Peter Pan was about growing up...), both are examples of creative literature, but they are not of equal worth. This applies to ideologies and religion..

  • Well if you're only looking at what's going on in the world right at this moment I would agree. But if we're talking about the actual religion itself I would argue they all have the same capacity for violence and abuse.

Whether it's Jews, Christians or Muslims, they all have practiced religiously inspired massacres and torture. And all of them still do today, though you are right, to differing degrees. Christianity, for the moment, seems the least offensive.

  • With scientific discoveries, Christianity was forced to moderate itself and yield to reason. If it were not for scientific thought and education, the Church would still have political power and heretics would still be burned at the stake. Science has progressed even further yet Islam continues to grow. The lack of a central authority in Islam makes it more dangerous. Where before you could disprove the top authority, now you would have to disprove each of the self-proclaimed experts...

  • If only that were so. Right now yes most of the Christians are pacified, but already with economic hardship in the US we're seeing fundamentalism fight back hard. When you look at pastors like Pat Roberts and his ilk, his "flock" takes no notice of what the Pope says. Heck "born again" Christian Bush never listened to the pope.

Just last week there was yet another fundamentalist Christian murder in the US. All it takes is a few years of hardship and we're all back in the dark ages.

  • If you look at the US alone, you might say that the Bush administration fanned the flames of faith by various means (eg. Creationism in schools, despite undeniable hard evidence of evolution), in order to counter fanatical Islam. I'm not familiar with P. Roberts, but I shall have to look him up. I read about that murder though (your referring to the abortionist...). The way to put an end to all of this is by identifying why people feel they need to believe in a God, or worse, in a book.

  • The situation has been complicated by conflict, but once it has settled, the unbiased people in our societies will have to make the effort to address those basic needs, make sure they stop getting exploited by religion, and then provide avenues for the expression of those needs. Religion is in many cases the science of the poor/uneducated. It is the one thing they can feel satisfaction and acceptance in when they are excluded from all other relevant areas. People need to feel relevant, many dont

  • Absolutely. It's definitely a problem of social circumstance and maybe even more so of a lack of education.

But that was my point, I'm sure there's great sentiment for "destroying the jew" or what have you in the middle east but is that Islam or the circumstances these people live in? I would argue the latter. I don't think the Koran is really that much more violent than the Bible.

My point with the Christian fundamentalist examples was that any religion can be (and often is) abused this way.

  • Its like defending the Hulk by questioning the virtues of Batman. Either Islam>Christianity, Christianity>Islam, Islam=Christianity. By definition religions are beyond reason, so any choice is also beyond reason. You might choose by historical notions, technological accomplishments, deaths to date, but there is something perverse about the mind that can play religious tennis using suras/psalms, that scrutinizes and compares, and yet ignores what those very mental tools have shown about religion.

  • Everything is being set up for the one-eyed man...shit! Almost there now!

  • Grow up?

  • Jacqui Smith is the whore in government selling any and everything for her own gain.

Just for one moment, if she could stop watching porn films with her husband, she would realise she is playing into the hands of the BNP. Bravo Jacqui you evil slag.

You can do this country a great service by getting cancer or dying.

  • The combination of Muslim, and Stalinist (a la Smith & Brown) expansionism, is in the process of destroying Britain. The weak and emasculated British people are no match for Sharia-creep.

  • Oh my God, I really did chose blue.

    And it was blue.

    Laugh Out Loud.

  • I still can't believe Jacqui Smith seems to be getting away with having Damian Green falsley arrested for 'national security' reasons when really he just had some documents which were embarrassing for her politically. Why have the Tories let the lying witch off the hook for that? They should not let this go so easily - she should be arrested for abuse of office.

  • At the end of the day Jacqui Smith is an over-promoted thicko. Trouble is it will be difficult to prise her greedy fingernails out of the cushy lifestyle when the good people of Redditch give her the big heave-ho

  • WATCH OUT THERES A THIEF ABOUT

  • The Koran is Mein Kampf in a different cover. People need to wake up to that religion of hate.

  • Have you ever read the Koran?

  • I think he meant:

"Mein Kampf is the Koran in a different cover."

    ...Lets respect chronology.

It is a well known fact that Hitler admired the Koran. YouTube search (also in my profile):

  • I don't know how the hell you can compare Islam to the IRA. Those Ragheads want to take over the world.

  • Im comparing Islamic extremists with the IRA not islam as a whole.

  • The IRA situation has nothing to do with religion though. Islam is incompatible with British culture. Half of them are on benefits and half of the want to take over the West. Kill them all. Fucking ragheads.

  • Nothing to do with religion? Are you sure?

Also the IRA got there arms from Libya and the USA.

Is any religion compatible with british culture ?

  • AETHIST?

  • If we repatriated all the muslims, we wouldn't need to find the terrorists - because there wouldn't be any!!

    Simples.

  • Compared to the IRA who have killed more Brits on British soil in terrorist attacks, than any other organisation? Get your facts right moron

  • jackie smith is a cock. she acts like an arrogant headteacher who thinks she can ban or do whatever she wants. refusing to downgrade any drugs despite scientific advice because 'drugs are bad' is totally missing the fucking point. and as for constantly using the fear of terrorism to scare people into accepting her 1984 style laws GET YOUR HANDS OFF MY HUMAN RIGHTS BITCH!!

  • She laughably said and i quote: "people with ID cards will be able to prove their identity" - Fucking why would we need to do that? AND im sure they will say anyone who complains is either a silly leftist or a student. She should be hanged and have the video posted on the internet so her husband can have a wank over it. Mps are all the same the smiling corrupt ugly little shits who laugh all the way to the bank. Where is Guy Fawkes when you need him?

  • "There is widespread public support for ID cards" Jacqui Smith

    Stupid fucking cunt

  • Women, get your pc obsessed crazy hormonal asses the fuck out of politics now!

  • Jacqui Smith and her husband Dick should be reported to the RSPCA for animal cruelty. She's just fired a mole, and he's been caught spanking a monkey!

  • get these PC obsessed women out of politics...they ruin everything they touch

  • Marxist bitch!

  • We've said NO! but this vile cartload of bullies called the British Government will not take no for an answer.

  • There's one major fact that proves that ID cards do not stop terrorism:

THE EXISTANCE OF ID CARDS IN SPAIN DID NOT STOP THE MADRID TRAIN BOMBINGS!

  • Ofcouuuurse.. These measures are never aimed at keeping out terrorist or any of that BS. It's just an excuse to push this damn thing down our throats.

Kind of like the way they're selling this internet monitoring scheme as a way to track terrorists but what do you think will happen to people who have been downloading a few mp3s the second it's introduced?

Just an excuse to gain more power of the average citizen.

  • The fact that Jacqui Smith is still in her job is in danger of setting a new precedent that no Minister or even MP, let alone Home Secretary, will ever feel the need to resign for anything ever again. It is also much to Gordon Brown's further discredit that he has not sacked her for her steady flow of incompetence, and outrages which are now too numerous even to list out here! Maybe it's because it would be a 'pot and kettle situation' for Gordon Brown if HE were to call her incompetent !!!

  • Look out! Here come the terrormachine 14:88's, haha, they sound like a gothic youth club who hate their parents! I'll battle your empathetic teens with my commie water pistols to mess up their crazy hairsprayed hair-do's and flowery positive respect for my fellow human beings.xx

  • Thank you for proving my comment mr backwards racist.

  • Is that comment a really bad joke?

  • i wonder what the movies where?

  • shaving ryans privates maybe?

  • a film called Raw Meat 3, apparently. But oddly it appears to be aimed mainly at viewers with an interest in handsome young men.

Starring the well-greased bodies of "Duncan", "Valentino" and the gloriously named "Tigers Wood", Raw Meat 3 wittily tags itself "It's the end of the world - and we blow it!".

That vile woman is enough to turn anyone!

  • Does this guy not know how to use the internet? If your gonna get busy with yourself while your wife is out taking away civil liberties you might as well make it worth while, although i have heard that 'duncan' is quite the handsome chap!

  • add to this the fact that ID cards have already been hacked and you've got yourself a redundant technology that is costing the tax payers billions of pounds.

  • The stupid people of Redditch.......

  • Brilliant video.

Jacqui smith is a disgrace to the UK.

She's so unpopular, her husband has to write her fan mail.

That's a subtle hint, right there Jacqui.

  • the government sneak through legislation while we sleep behind our backs! more people vote for x factor than in general elections. weve become lazy and blame the next man or bankers for all of our problems! we need to take responsibility for our own actions and make a change.

recession blah blah blah, the bankers, blah blah blah. who were the people buying things they couldnt afford on credit cards, but now blame someone else.

take action. we live in a democracy! make your voice heard!

  • Horrid horrid woman - surely the good people of redditch will not let her in next election.

  • FUCK LIBERTY! Liberty is what a sailor gets when the ships plls into port, why? Becuase he signed a contract. Sign nothing. Claim freedom. Liberty means someone else controls your freedom. Freedom on the other hand is exactly what it is!

  • freedom in a lawless society? if no-one signs paper how can anybody be held responsible for any actions? good as a concept but mob rule would own the land meaning sun & mirror idiots would would pretty much own us all!!!!

  • No one would own you, how scary would that be....

The problem people have is accepting that, there really is no society anyway. It's all agreements and forced legislation. A lawless society is called nature, and man is part of nature. Agree or disagree, it's the truth and we all know what Fraud said about denial.

A hard truth that no one is willing to accept, well that's NATURE.

Fear accounts for everything in a controlled environment, it really does, we're kept in a constant state of it!

  • No2ID, great vid!

  • Jacqui Smiths hot! awesome video...people need to see this. no2id!
