Good memories; my father would sing this to my pregnant mother -- most good memories from my parents' marriage revolve around music: my dad would sing what he could never say.
My brothers had a record called Big Fat Mama they listened to a lot around 1956...this one is close but I don't think that it was a big band in the record. It was more crude sounding than this..this is great though, lol..
This is wonderful! My uncle was a deejay and had tons of this music from the 30s and 40s. I grew up on this stuff and it is HEAVEN to be able to hear some of these old songs again. Thank you so much!

If he wants a big fat mama he should move to St. Petersburg, Fl. We have so many here, they're falling out trees.

I work at a nursing home, and there is a lady with Alzheimer that sings this song all the time. I'm so glad that I found this song.

Lucky re-recorded this in late 50s/early 60s with Frankie Tucker on vocals on the Warwick label, a great uptempo RnB version.

Just found this in a pile of 78s that I bought and have been slowly listening to. I quite enjoy it and will probably upload it here as well.
