  • you need ride, the lucila del mar waves in agentina to meet my dears scrapy waves!!!!!

  • why the hell do i have to live on the east coast......

  • Thanks for the comments. Songs are all little home recordings - 2nd song is a banjo & bongo combo!

  • @vudostar nice sounds man, really suit the video recording

  • Very simple video but with such a good vib!

Hey mate what is the second song? Thx

  • NSP = CRAP

If you're going to get on your first board, there are worse boards, I guess, but not many. Go to a local surf shop and talk to somebody who can put you on a decent stick.

Great video of slashing up some crap. I'm a Florida boy, so this is my standard between hurricane seasons. Love the footage man, fun to watch.

    \\mn// MINI SHAKA

  • Very nice video:)

  • Nice random horse.

  • You called them crappy waves but in new york we called them nice waves not awesome but nice

  • I love chilled out days like this

  • If those are crappy waves, dont come to where i surf. They look great to me. Nice video, Thanks.

  • australia u mean fucking retard u tryed to sound like ur from there becaouse u said mate

  • nice roundhouses!

  • 0:56 great wave, late drop, SHACKED. I just got a new speed dialer quad fish that i shaped. Its weird though because i rode a thruster for a while, and its hard to get used to.

  • San quintin??? yeaaaah

  • man them waves look hell fun to me!

  • man that aint scrappy nor crappy.. looks pretty awesome to me

  • Nice video, very nice surfing. These waves look fine to me, small yes, but not scrappy at all. More like clean, easy & fun! In fact I bet you had a great time out there carving those smooth cutbacks.

The waves actually remind me of my homespot and it's nice to know that they can be ridden so nicely if the skills are there.

  • is a 6'0 nsp a good board

  • Never surfed one but I dont like the looks of them. If its what I think it is, it might be one of these hybrid boards half way between a classic fish & a modern thruster. My opinion is that an effective hybrid is very very hard to find.

  • @goneriding11 do not buy an nsp!!!!

  • that looks like San Onofre on a big day

  • Where on earth is that?

    Its Ostralia mate!

  • southern california north of san diego south of oc.. and it actually does look like san o on a big day

  • @vudostar its in SoCal

  • @vudostar lol

  • those waves look perfect to me!

  • 6 foot 4 on a 5 7 ..........way to be bro!!!!!

  • how can you catch those waves with so many guys in the lineup....ahaha

  • Wow that is some of the best surfing ive seen: I like your smooth and fluid style. Ive been riding a twin fin fish lately and love it. Awsome video! 5/5

  • scrappy waves lol? those waves look well fun, you can improve your surfing on days like that.

  • looks like good swell to me

  • by the way, Great surfing.... :) love the soul surf style...

  • soul surf style?

  • yes... "soul surfer" is the one who just surfs for fun. The one who look for peace in the water, the one who always get in the water even if others say its crappy. The one who smells and lives nature.

In the water, "soul surfers" have a very fluid line and keep it "old school" without agressive triks.

  • fuck soul surfing. this guy is no soul surfer, he just rips

  • Can you tell me wish board you`re using on the video? wish size is it? 2 fins? 4 fins? how much do you wheight? and you`re size.... sorry for asking all this info, but i think it`s important to have a comparison with other surf styles and boards (mine is a 6`2 Fish 2 fin)

  • Hi, a few different boards but mostly 5'7" x 21" wide by 2.5" thick, twin fins with a small trailer fin - Another board is round tail, 6'4", 20" wide & 2.5" thick, - & I'm 6'4" tall & 90kg - wish I was smaller though for the small waves!

    Thanks for the comments!

  • this is def cali

  • Wish we had some like that today...West wind blown out choppy slo.ppaddled around for an hour 2 2sec ridesand tomorrow winds go offshore but i gotta work:-(...grrrr

  • Id have to agree with pretty much everyone else here.......................those are some pretty sick waves if you live where i do.

  • I gotta get me one of those.

  • Comment removed

  • i guess there scrappy conditionwize like its closing out and mushu, but swellwize its decent.

  • Good luck - hard not to have a good time on a fish!

  • nice surfing! i just got a really good deal on a walden magic fish. hope i can surf it:)

  • thats a good day where im from.

  • where are you from????

  • Compared to SoCaL that's some decent surf, no need for a fishboard. These aren't scrappy waves by SoCaL standards.

  • i live in east FL.. miami. a wave like that would make my day bra

  • if that crappy u have to come ot the east coast

  • @surfnsnow4 no way, you need to see the gulf coast, i hate it here

  • i would take these waves any day

  • Nice waves that looks like Hella fun.

  • 2:09 haha

  • I luv surfing videos where it isnt all pros with perfect shots from there hi tech camera men.

  • I.I. captian good brain. Agreed.

  • I live on the gulf of mexico i would do anything to have those in Florida's gulf coast

  • they look like a easy ride

  • I live in Rhode Island... I would do anything to surf those waves even for a day.

  • man those waves are good...where r u surfing

  • perfact a frame not scrappy

  • crappy? i would kill to have those waves

  • same

  • man... i would SHRED those waves if i had those..

my local break is newport, northside 'blackies'

    man....

  • Nice video setup. Very decent waves, especially that quick left barrel. Thank you for actually posting up some nice surfing too...so many horrible amateur surf vids out there!!

  • they are sweet waves come surf my home break bribie its shit

  • that horse was very random

  • hhahaha i agree

  • I love my fish....

  • great vid... those waves arent bad at all, where is that btw?

  • nice surfing and those are no way scrappy waves

  • did someone loose a horse half way through this vid?

  • I'm 5'11" 34-25-46 I enjoy long walks on the beach and clubing baby seals.

Im riding a 5'10" quad from the 90's, it looks like it could have been Zak Morris' board (hot pink). I found it in my brother in laws garage. Most fun Ive ever had surfing!

  • dude those arent that scrappy , i'd love to surf those with my 6'0 fish!

  • these boards dont loose speed! everyone should have one in there quiver

  • nice video vudostar. when not riding my fish, I enjoy watching others do!!! Thanks!

  • thanks bra im goin with a 5'8 pce

  • thanks vudostar... but do you think 5'8 will handle waist to chest hgih waves a lot better then a 5'10 like carving and turning wise?

  • I reckon: Yes but depends on your style & weight- if you like longer smooth lines I'd take the 5'10. The 5'8 would get you more responsive surfing but you need to have the skills to handle & match it. Good luck - either way - you should love it!

  • if i ride a 6'0 shortsboard but i wana get a quad fish to add to my quiver should i get a 5'8 or a 5'10?

  • If I were you - I'd pick a 5'8" for sure. But if you want it to surf over head high waves, a 5'10 might handle better but 5'8" is heaps better for the small & medium stuff. If you're not heavy - don't go too thick! There are heaps of boats around!

  • fishes are not made for waves overhead. They are wayy too fast and you will run off the end of the wave before finishing your bottom turn. I am not saying it is impossible to surf one in overhead conditions, it certainly isn't. But a shorty is better because of the rocker hugs the wave shape better. My 2 cents.

  • they are made for decent size waves, the swallow tail hives lots of hold in bigger stuff....any good surfer knows that

  • where is that

i gonna shape my own retro fish 6'4''

  • yes, i have a 6,4 twin from last two month and it has me crazy...perfect board. i have ride from 1 ft to 10ft an its really fun but know i wanto to go smaller. 5,9 is the size. saludos from chile

  • here in jax we'd kill for those!! Our waves are on average like a foot, you need to learn some gratitude.

  • those are sick waves

  • crappy? are you serious?! i would KILL for waves like that here in new york

  • You're right, we shouldnt take anything over a foot for granted. I just cant stop dreaming about winding pockets of warm macaroni's!

  • haha yea we never get any love in ny

  • If you think those waves were "scrappy" you should see the garbage we have to surf now it's summer (in between massive flat spells!)

I'm 6'0 and about 12st (76kg) and have a twin keel 5'8, a quad 5'8 and another quad 5'9". They all go unreal, easy to catch waves and super fast, although the quad is easier to surf backhand than the twinnie.

Go shorter than you think you can, remember they have much greater planing surface per ft length than a normal thruster, and less rocker. Short = super fun

  • Ha ha...sounds like you're on the East Coast...VA like I am. The waves in the video are great. As anybody from here knows..when it gets bigger than waist high it starts to get all shitty and a pain to get out.

  • No dude, I'm from the UK. I live in Cardiff, South Wales. We get some half decent surf here through the Winter, Spring & Autumn but Summer can be pretty lousy, although we do get some good long range swells from any hurricanes that drift East into the Atlantic.

  • brilliant. I'm 6' and I've been surfing a 5'11 Lost round nose fish, it's a quad...love it. Thinking of getting an even smaller one, just for the hell of it.

  • im thinking about getting a quadfin fish is it a good idea for speed and carving. im 5'9 65kg waht sikze would do me thanks

  • I'm 6'1 and 165lbs ride a 6'0 fish, its thruster though not quad, not sure if it makes a difference with your weight. It rides amazing though either way.
