  • Black kid at 0:56 reminded me of Jaden Smith in Karate Kid lol

  • awesome memories that young man will have on video !! enjoy your successes

  • exelente labor

  • Si esto es Shorin-Ryu, que venga Dios y lo vea!! puta mierda

  • the footage looks like it was taken at the Hombu dojo of Kise Hanshi.....spent many a weekend training there when I was on island back in the late 1980's and early 1990.....Any one here from Tengan Dojo?

  • younger bro is cute and he is doing teh kata amazingly ;)

  • 3rd dan in two and half years, how the hell did you do that? what rank was your instructor?(i refuse to use the title grandmaster)what style do you do?

i dont mean to nasty but that cant be right, it took me nearly 5 years to reach black belt and then another 4 to reach 2nd dan! think you might be a victim of the mcdojo.

  • There could several reasons to reach black belt in a few years.

Yes, he could train in a "mcdojo". (never encountered that word before, but I like it :D).

    Or he was an uchi-deshi.

You know, those guy train 6-10 hours a day, so each day is like a week or even a month of training time compared to a regular hobby-karateka. [like having 2×1 hour of training a week].

Although he trained kick-box. Don't know much about kick-box. (Or am I confused?).

  • ive been under the training of grandmaster vernon mason who used to be a world champion kickboxer and i got up to 3rd dan blackbelt in 2 and a half years and ive had to put it to use

  • Wow this looks so different than the Shorin-Ryu I'm used to studying with MY Sensei, They're the same styles only diffenent dojos, its so neat to see other Karateka perform kata like this.

  • If you look at his certificate, the crest on it tells you this is Matsumura Seito Shorin Ryu - Fusei Kise's line.

  • i am just young when i start karatedo.....

    Okinawan Shorin-Ryu....

    just now...

  • Nice vid :)

  • I think its great that they start young and learn difficult movements. Later down the road they will come to understand what they are actually doing and by that time theyll have the technique sharp. however, kihon should be done every class in my opinion. Basics build strong technique and theyre almost always what one relies on in an encounter. a good punch and block is far superior to a massive arsenal of technique that is never perfected.

  • Way too young.

  • For a White Belt in his first year and how young he is, that was a good demonstration of Wansu and FyuKyu Kata Ni. I know adults who learn those katas after 2-3 years of training and still can not perform the basics of the kata.

  • love the part with the younger brother doing kata like big brother ... really cute

  • ohhh my god.

    i used to go there.

    i was 4 when i first started.

i got to brown belt.. 2 stripes?

now im 13 and im happy i got to see that place again

  • it,s good to see young children trying to do well in the martial arts im shore in years to come the stance,s timing and power will be right there only kids.

  • LOl my friend used to go there the belt system was easy white then 3 green strips then green 3 brown strips then brown 3 black now he lives in Virgina and there training is harder and intense i sugguest you find another style look for grand master yamshita instead of your grandmaster kise

  • cute kids. =) Also, there forms were quite good. they just need to work on stances, timing and power. GREAT for the first year! I finally ran into someone who does the same style as me!
