HP IS SHIT. Products are unreliable and their customer service is a disgrace too. My latest 'All In One' has only had little use but because its warranty period has expired I'd have to pay a packet to get it repaired. Every HP printer I've had has been problematic, unike the Epson that I once borrowed from a family member. HP's colour profiles are all wrong too, and when I complained they couldn't care less. I had to borrow some pricey software to make my own colour profile. No more HP for me!

This piece of shit refuses to scan in any consistent manner. It works once, then refuses for the rest of the day. It keeps saying 'no scanner found" and "HPc4580 not installed" even though the printer connection works fine. I have to keep re-installing the software with each scan. When I get a new scanner, i will REVEL in destroying this one with a hammer.

the wireless connection is very very flaky. Do NOT buy this piece of junk unless you want to use it with the cable connection.. It's fast only when it connects. I constantly have to reinstall the drivers (same version--not because of updates). It has wasted so much of my time.

And he forgot to mention all the crap bloatware that will be installed on your pc after running the HP software. Hp popups all over the place "BUY HP INK or YOU WILL DIE"

This is a terrible printer...lots of problems with the C4500 series of printers.

I didn't get any problems with HP printers, but I have tons of problems with the print cartridges. The HP print cartridges have integrated print heads that it heat up the ink, than starts to leak.

thats easy.. there are two ways.. first one, go to printers and faxes and there should be your printer.. now double click there and follow the instructions... the other one... go to paint, and put on the menu from scanner or camera(sorry if i wrote it bad), and follow the instructions... any dude problems.. just reply ;)

i have this printer. its amazing. photos and letters come out looking great. works really well with the mac as well as windows. just dont use the drivers from the CD, download them off HP's website and your good to go. also, once in a while the printer will freeze up after a while of inactivity, only way to get around it is to unplug and replug it. besides that, no other cons. great buy!

yes you can refill them. rip off the sticker on top of the cartridge and you will see it

The print quality would be terrible with refilled ink, but you would be able to do it, voiding the warranty..
