Why people get mad when I call TIm Duncan weak?? You think Wade or any pg or sg could Block Shaq in his prime dunk on the way down and live to tell about it ???
@grownman455 Tim Duncan is way past his prime. If this is a young Tim Duncan that doesn't happen. You look up highlights of Duncan in his prime and you'll see what I mean.
@BrownPaperBag51 I will agree that his age is part of it but have you looked at the highlights of what happen when the younger Tim Duncan matched up with a younger shaq after David Robinson left?
@grownman455 Have you seen Shaq try to dunk on Tim Duncan with TWO hands only to get turned back. Because I have Duncan has always matched up well with Shaq.
@BrownPaperBag51 how many times in history have that ever Happen. There have been games where Shaq has pushed little timmy around like a little kid. Maybe after Shaq got older or Tim Duncan caught Shaq from the behind. But Shaq would break your hand if you tried to jump with him while he is coming down.
@grownman455 Actually the block took place when the alamodome was still open. It didnt close until 2002. Meaning Shaq had only been in the league 10 years. So he was still in his prime. Go to Tim Duncan's top 100 plays on this site 6:25 and you'll see the block. Shaq looked at Duncan who was standing between him and the basket then tried to poke on him only to get turned away by the great one. Also just cause Shaq is large don't mean nothin. Because Shaq could never stop Duncan.
@BrownPaperBag51 HAHAHA I remember that block that was nothing. Shaq had ot even got off the ground yet. That was simply getting off the ground before the offense player does Jordan has done that 100s of times to centers Wade has done it to centers. That is a easy play to make Role players have made that block. Please give me a real example. Like I said If shaq was coming down and Tim Tried he would have a broken hand now. Shaq is not just big he dominated little timmy.
@grownman455 Yet Shaq got his ass completely owned by Tim Duncan in the closing game of the 2003 Western Conference Semifinals. Where was his domination then? Shaq is a one way play Tim is a better defender than Shaq and has way skills and abilities than Shaq. In fact the only thing Shaq has more of then Tim is Points and nicknames.
@htmnvaggos hahaha, naaah. 1. That should of been offensive foul 2. Wade tipped it a bit before he completely got a hand on it so it was already consider blocked before his second touch.
i dont fully agree with you about the offencive foul because you have to consider the momentum too.
What i mean is that duncan already moves towards the basket so the impact is inevitable... i believe that he didn't want to push wade but did it in order to not let wade come closer to him....now about the first touch..... it's a little bit difficult for the reff to understand whether wade tipped the ball or not..
dispite our dissagreement i have to admit that this block is one great performance by wade, because the reff didn't call nor offensive foul neither goaltending, so there is no point in arguing....
@pishoseroseropisho its not goaltending, wade blocked the shot right at the moment when duncan was releasing the ball from his fingertips, then he simply tipped the ball away the 2nd time, PLEASE watch it again, its a block, clean and clear
@0000carlito0000 man, I realize he flicked it with his thumb, but it still was going into the cylinder. That flick I would call a block, because the ball would go into the basket probably, if he didn't blocked it while it was going down. I understand your point, it's just that I don't agree with it.

dwade, the best point guard shot blocker

If anything else that could have been an offensive foul on duncan by pushing d wade away with his forearm
ringringrajaprime 3 months ago
How the hell is it goaltending when Wade was literally still in mid-air with his arm extending to block when Duncan released the ball?
Plus, Duncan hella warded off
Zasterror 4 months ago
the 1 dislike comes from Tim Duncan
LebronMeloRose 4 months ago
He deflects the ball on the way up, from then on its a loose ball
Thousandeyes85 4 months ago
how the fuck is this not goal tending. if you dont count the offensive foul the ball was coming down anyway
Andas3 4 months ago
It's not goaltending, just because he touched the ball when Duncan was releasing it, and while it was thrown, he touched it again.

WTF are you guys talking about its not going to be goaltending because wade had a hand on it before it came up!

@pishoseroseropisho that flick I wouldN'T call a block (typo)
pishoseroseropisho 11 months ago
nm. looked at it again, he blocked it with his thumb first, got shoved with the off hand, and STILL blocked it. crazy
overcastfab 11 months ago
dope play. just have to say though, verrrrrry close to goaltending. actually looked like it was on it's way down
overcastfab 11 months ago
@overcastfab he tipped it with his thumb first so its fair play after that
ripeshot11 11 months ago
@ripeshot11 No, it's goaltending.
pishoseroseropisho 11 months ago
@pishoseroseropisho ok so if you block a ball and block it again while its still in the air, its goaltending... ok youre right
ripeshot11 11 months ago
@ripeshot11 how can you call it a block when the ball was going into the basket? That is not a block, clear goaltending...
