Speaking as a Boston native who has heard too many bad attempts at our accent, especially in movies and TV episodes: If you want to get the accent down, you need to study this guy's pronunciation of "tot lot" at 0:58 --- that short-o vowel sound is tricky and it is essential to the accent. Anyone can say "aaah" instead of "r", that is the easy paaht.

People tell me I have an accent that is similar as a Southern, Irish, British, or Boston accent.

I guess it's normal that everytime someone says I have an accent; I say to myself
